Anonymous This number called me repeatedly, and when I answered, the message went to an automated message from “Venmo” saying that a user was trying to log into my account press one if this was not you. When I left the automated message end I said “You, coward. You know where to find me.” and then the line ***g up. I also texted it and saw that it’s an iPhone because iMessage was turned on and my message was blue and it said delivered. I believe this is whole heartedly a SCAM.

I too have received several phone calls both on my cell phone and at my job from someone with a heavily foreign accent stating that I am the primary suspect in a criminal federal case in my state.  Whenever I ask them what the case is about or who they are trying to collect money for, they are very evasive and try to elicit other information from me, the most recent time was the name of my attorney.  I have yelled at these people to stop calling me and all they do is consistently call back on an hourly sometimes minute basis and harass me about my language or my professionalism...one of them even laughed and told me he loved me and made "kissing" noises on the phone.  I know it is the same person or persons.  I reported them finally to the FBI's IC3 unit and hopefully this nonsense will stop.  DO NOT GIVE IN TO THESE PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER.  ODDS ARE THEY PROBABLY HAVE A TON OF INFORMATION ON YOU ANYWAY.  CALL YOUR BANKS AND PUT AN ALERT ON YOUR ACCOUNT SO THEY CANNOT HAVE ACCESS TO THEM AS WELL.
