Phone Dude Some creepy dirt bag called me from this number 3 times in as many days. They left me some song and dance about a debt I supposedly owed. The last debts I owed were over 15 years ago and are long since off my record. So that was a big red flag. I have rebuilt my credit record a little at a time, it took many years to go from a poor record to the perfect credit record I have today. My current credit is better than good, it's excellent. So I know this is a total BS scam to try to extract money out of me for nothing. I normally can't be bothered responding to this kind of pathetic attempt to make me waste time and money. When he called a***n the third time I finally decided to see the caller wanted. He came off as a rude ****** who sounded more like an uneducated street punk with a bad at***ude than a professional collections agent. I said*****o, and asked him nicely why he kept calling me. He said he was with****et Recovery****ociates and just made some ***ue threats that I had a big debt of several thousand dollars that I owed this company he named. I asked for some details and proof. How much was it and when did I owe this debt? He blew me off w some legal mumbo jumbo and some double talk about a legally binding contract and do***ents that I signed promising to pay, blah blah blah. I NEVER heard of this company. I NEVER signed any contract w this company either, so I had no such debt and owed no money. The whole deal is as phony as a 3 dollar bill. He said he was willing to give me a good deal today only, and let me pay off the whole sum for a fraction of the full amount due if I paid him by credit card right away, but no paper checks! Then threatened me by saying if didn't begin paying at least part of it today I would be sued and be forced to pay the full amount and all the court costs. I wasn't born yes****ay and knew right then this was a scam. What makes this clown think I would whip out my credit card and just hand over a few thousand to a total stranger to pay a debt I never heard of?! At that point I began to get ****ed and demanded to speak to this *****s manager. He refused to even give me his bosses name and said his boss was in a meeting. Oh sure, where have we all heard that line of bull before! I retaliated and began telling him a lot of lies to see if I could make him angry and give away his companies real name and his absent bosses name. It took him at least 10 minutes before I think he suspected I was messing w him just to waste his time. I told him OK, I know he was a very busy man I would be happy to send him a check for the full amount. But I'd need copies of this contract I supposedly signed and these do***ents he mentioned that proved I owed the company money. He refused. I just wanted to trick him into giving me the fake info and waste his time sending me all this BS so I could use it later a***nst them if I wanted to file a fraud complaint. I couldn't get him to mail me anything to use as evidence, but I can still bad mouth them online ha ha! Fun for me though, I was bored and I had a good laugh when I ***g up!! I don't know where they got my cell number or address, and how they****ume I owe this ****** company I never heard of all this money. I don't owe this blood ****er a penny. If they call back I'll say to them to basically just go ***** themselves and then **** up on them!

anonymous I just took a call from this number. He would not say his name or the business he represents. After I declined to tell him who in our office is in charge of employee benefits (that information is fairly clear from our webpage), he told me to "earn your eight-fifty and transfer" him. I told him I wouldn't transfer anyone if I did not have their name and the name of the organization they represent. He asked for my name, which I repeated. (I had given it when I picked up the phone.) When he repeated the "earn your 8.50" line, I told him I didn't think it would be worth his while to do so because our organization does not typically do business with people who are so rude. As I was saying that, he ***g up on me.
