This number called me saying they were a law firm trying to scare/scam me into giving them my social security number... then when I asked to speak with a supervisor they kept ****ing up the phone on me then after I called 20x’s they refused to answer the phone

I got a phone call from this number and a gentleman with a strong Indian accent claimed to be from an attorney's office. He told me I owed more than $5,000 to a payday loan co. He rambled off a list of charges and said his law firm would be filing a compliment a***nst me for the loan co. I was advised that someone would be serving me with papers at my home and work and that I was going to be arrested. Is this for real?

They wanted me to open up my computer and they would send the money that way I told them it was in being repaired and that's when they wanted me to get the card and take it to the bank and cash it. Has called twice and says they are from the New York City Law Department. Leaves messages in a heavy, barely understandable Indian accent but uses a very American sounding name (Johnson, I think). The message says "This is a legal warning message," then goes on to say so****ing ***ue about some kind of legal trouble I am supposedly in and that if I don't call them back all he can do is "wish me luck with the legal problems as they unfold on me." Searched multiple sites for the number and every reference to this number identifies it as a scam, some with even worse threats than the ones I received.

Richard I have received a number of calls from this number which went to our ma****e unanswered with no message left. Finally, I decided to answer based on my wife's****urance that I could get them to stop calling. It was a woman with a heavy foreign accent mumbling so****ing about mortgage refinancing. I ***g up because she wouldn't take "I am not interested" for an answer. We will see if they keep calling here.
