Keep calling every few hours. Getting really sick of it.

Caller ID says "Local News." I have called this place and left a message and I have complained to the Do Not Call Registry. These people call CONSTANTLY! I have screamed at them on the phone. If you figure out how to get rid of them, let us all know!

Hey IDIOT Patrice: the do-not-call list is not a cure all for every telemarketing problem. The newspapers calling these people already had their phone numbers due to their pre-existing relationship as a subscriber. Registering will not stop the calls.IDIOTS in glass houses should not throw stones.

August, 28, 2010I am getting calls daily from this so called marketing company.  One day I pressed the cell phone key to answer but remained silent and noone said anything neither did I so, I just ***g up.  I completely agree with you.  this is so frustrating and a waste of my time AARRRR.  I would agree to pay a visit to their residence, and will ***t them down until they STOP calling and Harassing people.

In correction the Arizona Republic's parent company... The Sun Gazette is INCORRECT.  The correct parent company name is GANNETT.

I recently cancelled my subscription from the Arizona Republic and the day after that, I s****ed receiving phone calls from this number.  The calls s****ed out as one call per day and have since progressed to four times a day.  I called Arizona Republic and immediately asked for a supervisor.  At first, he wasn't telling me anything but after drilling him for a few more minutes, he finally admitted that they do have a "parent company" outside of Arizona in ******ia...I think he said they were called Gazette.  I searched the internet and found the Sun Gazette in ******ia.  Here is how the rest of our conversation went:  Him-"They do not call consumers outside of their state so they should not be the ones calling you."  Me-"So basically you're saying your parent company has the other companies, like A Marketing Resource, do the dirt calling then, right?"  Him-"Tell you what, I can go ahead and contact Gazette and have them remove you from their list and the calls should stop within 48 hours."  I will respond to you guys if it works.  In the meantime, I have filed a complaint with the FCC and register my cell phone number on the Do-Not-Call List.  THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR POSTING YOUR COMMENTS TO HELP OTHERS!

I, too, am sick to ***** of the calls from this "company".  I have answered and told them very distinctly and clearly Not to call me anymore.  They do not listen.  They must not understand English is all I can figure.

Hi, I've had a similar problem. Here was the fix. I have Qwest for the phone. A landline in this case. I oay a few dollars a month for call rejection service (it's been worth it). That way numbers or even area codes can be blocked. A CELL PHONE is only a bit more complicated. Depending on the 'codes' the phone uses. But there are several call blocking tools for a cell. ALSO there is a tool (someplace) to redirect a call to a cell, when the number calling is recognized. Then the call is routed to whatever you choose. Say: A loud fax tone. THANKS

They just called me from the Pioneer Press from this number. They call me 15 times a day. I just told them to not call a***n, she****ured me that i was now on the do not call list. We will see.......

I wanted just the Sunday paper. These guys have called me 5 times in two days to get me to take more days of the week for free. They say they will stop but here we are. when the subscription runs out I will not re-new

Patrice, Actually the do not call list does not work in this case.  Since they are calling representing AZ Republic and you give your phone number to AZ Republic when you sign up for the newspaper they can call you.  All you can do is write them and ask them to stop calling. That is suppose to work, I guess we will see.

I went to the Federal Communications Commission website at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm; filed a complaint online; and, today received a follow-up letter from the FCC. I understand, from reading the letter, that the telemarketers 'know' the limits of the law. They also know that we Americans are basically lazy and WON'T CONTACT the FCC. So, here's the deal. You want 'c****e'? Then go to the FCC website and fill out the complaint form! If we do NOTHING then WE ARE THE PROBLEM! If you are read this and do nothing then you are saying, "SURE! This firm has been calling multiple times daily.  They are representing our local paper, The Arizona Republic, since we canceled our subscription.  We have told them not to call a***n and they continue to do so. In addition I left a message on their voicemail with my request to discontinue calls.   I now respond with a strong verbiage when I answer, and they continue to call daily.  Has anyone found a way to get these barracudas to cease contact?

This person calls every night at 9:00 PM or shortly there after. Before they called every couple of hours until I reported it and now they have s****ed in a***n. They must be mentally sick.

This number is from a calling center for newspapers, cable and utility companies, in Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota.  In my particular case, the Pioneer Press, who we cancelled with a couple years ago.

I receive calls from this number throughout the day.  All hours from 7:30 until 9:00 pm.  No messages are ever left.  I would appreciate these calls to stop especially at early and late hours.  The caller doesn't leave any messages.

Just had my number c****ed, paying for it to be unlisted at that...and having trouble with odd ball calls coming in. Which is totally aggervating, since I haven't even given either number out to anyone!!!!! the first night this number was active, 8:15pm I get a call from this number...Really? This is why no one has land lines anymore

I have gotten at least 7 calls from this number, trying to sell me the Pioneer Press.  I have continually asked them to stop calling, but they will not.  I'm trying to take action with the Do Not Call Registry, and I have contacted the Pioneer Press to see if that will resolve anything.

This number calls 10 times a day - regarding pioneer press - I have told them no and do not call anymore - they still call

Just received a call on my cell # (which I have not put out to the public).  I answered it and was ***g up on!  Sounds like a marketing thing to me.  Why call a # if you aren't going to at the very least leave a message saying you got the wrong #.  If it is marketing of some sort, how do they expect to make sales if they **** up???  Rude!

Call unknown. Call came in while I was out this morning. Caller ID says, Local News. I don't know how local they think they are, considering I'm on the west coast and know every area code in my area. They left no message of any type.

I dont know what their motive for calling repeatedly and ****ing is but they are ****ing me off and im about to track down their physical adress, go there wherever its at, and make a scene. Whip some**** if I have to.
