Came up on our caller ID.Called it back and got the: "We're sorry, your call can not be completed as dialed."I'm guessing it is a s****ed number.

Get repeated calls from this number. I do not answer them. Am on National Do Not Call List, but it doesn't seem to matter. Have a cousin who lives nearby who also gets repeated calls at both her home and cell phone from this number.

It was obviously s****ed, because the 555 prefix in ANY area code is set aside for directory****istance -- with one exception: 700-555-4141 will give you a message telling you who your long distance company is.Of course, this is "legacy" information, but if you go to telcodata.us, and look up ANY area code with 555 as the prefix, it will show that it doesn't exist at any particular phone company swit****g center
we've had two calls from same # 6515554444. first one on 5/11/09. answered and some guy said Hi My name is Jim and I'm a Gulf War Vet. sounded like a real person but most likely recording. ***g up. second call was 5/29/09. didn't answer and no message left. i have reported this # on donotcall annoyance section. i also called and spoke to someone with the phone company who checked six ways from sunday and could find absolutely no listing for this number. she too thought it strange w/a 555 call exc****e. word to the wise: do not answer if you don't know who the caller is or recognize the number.
