I don't answer numbers I don't know so I googled this one and found these comments. They did not leave a message. I called the 800# on my card and they confirmed my card had been compromised by a merchant but wouldn't tell me who. They said they already sent me a new card and that my current card is being cancelled. My biggest concern: they did that FOUR days ago. Gee, thanks for letting me know!
Missed this call from "Card Services". Since I had transaction declined on my FIA credit card, I****umed it was them, and called number on back of card. They verified their fraud dept. had made the call. Ever though the calls are legitimate, I recommend always calling the number on the back of the card. I never give out any info unless I make make the call. The Caller ID number displayed is easily s****ed.
Just got a call from this number. Caller identified herself & that she was from BOA Fraud. Identified charges on my card and asked me to verify if they were mine. She did NOT ask me any information on my card & told me the service was free. Did not try to sell me anything but did close the account and will be issuing a new card. She did ask if I had possession of the card to verify that it wasn't stolen.
FIA Card Services is who BofA uses to service their cards. If you call BofA and say add a new spouse to your account, you will get the paperwork from FIA Card Services. It will not say BofA anywhere on the forms. I called BofA and they confirmed that.
Got a call from this number and they left a voicemail message saying to call this other 800 number (1-800-427-2249) which when called is just some instruction to press your '*' star ****on to receive a text message with "important information"...Short of it is I did this and received the text message which is trying to just enroll me into this scam of monitoring for $9.95 a month - It may be a legit call from BofA security but it's true intention is to upsell you - my do I hate BofA; I'll be swit****g over to a Credit-Union soon thank you very much!
Bank of America Card Services. Any strange activity on your account raises a red flag and they call you within minutes to verify the transaction is legit. They monitor everything you buy and if anything is way out of the ordinary (like $600 worth of action figures...), then they place a hold on the transaction and call you until you to verify it's all good.ANSWER THIS NUMBER!
Called twice from two different numbers. Said there was su****ious activity on the account. When I called, I refused to give my 16 digit account number, he tried to look it up by the last 4 digits, but said he could not. I called the number on the back of my cards and my accounts are fine. The gentlemen I talked to said they were from "Card Services" I pressed for more information and all I got was FIA Card Services. I do not have a Bank of America account so there should be no reason for them to be calling me
I received a call from this number. It is a legitimate Bank of America credit card fraud protection call. Before calling it back I checked my account online, and it did indeed have a hold on it for fraud protection reasons. The person who answered when I called back was able to tell me which BofA credit card it was (by telling me the last four digits of the account number).
Called and were in the process of leaving a voice message when I picked up the phone, so my answering ma****e stopped recording at that point. The caller (not a live voice, but rather a recording) gave a number to call back, not close to the one they called me from, which I did not get fully written down in tme and since the recording missed that part of the message I cannot return the call. Frustrating that they don't mention who they are. After googling the number it is probably B of A, but I have too many B of A credit cards and they didn't mention which one they were calling about.
678-797-7000 belongs to: Card Services, 210 Townpark Drive NW, Kennesaw, Georgia, 30144-5514. They also use: 800-383-0618. They called yes****ay and left a voice mail claiming there possibly were "...unauthorized charges..." on my account and I needed to contact them ASAP as I can't use my card without contacting them. I called 800-383-0618; lady said they service various card issuers. After convincing her I was the cardholder, I asked her "...what charge(s) is she talking about..." She read a few charge amounts on my account; I said they were mine; she couldn't provide any other answer. BUT she did offer to sell me monthly CC monitoring at $ 12.99 a month. I called B Of A and they verified the 1st call was legit. I think this is a B Of A ruse to sell monitoring. B Of A also tried to sell monitoring. BTW, B Of A farms out the work to these related companies.
The thing that concerned me was when I called the number back, it said "card services" and didn't say for who... then it asked for my card number, which I of course didn't give them. I called the actual BOA number, and was transferred to security. They had no record of calling me that day, and said it might be a scam. I would be very skeptical of this phone number and wouldn't give them any information.
BofA Fraud...it's OK.
I received a call from the same number..., it's Bank of America - Fraud Prevention Dept. of Card Services
I got a call from that # too today. They said they were a fraud alert. I called my credit card company directly and they validated that it was their fraud alert company #. Someone was trying to access my card using a ATM ma****e and keyed in the wrong #s.
Bank of America fraud detection.
