I too received this on my bill.  It was for a phone # in my business that is only for a fax ma****e.  Has no receiver or way to dial on a physical phone just the fax to send and receive medical records.  It is an unlisted number and has no long distance carrier for this number.  I use only toll free numbers or use my cell phone for LD.  My phone company refused to remove the charge of $7.71.  Wonder how many others have received this and paid without investigating.  I couldn't get the company (800-433-4518) to answer finally got my phone company to get them on the phone for me.  After a round and round with one gentleman who said he couldn't take this off as ILD was only a billing service for Telseven LLC dba "Calling 10****800, finally got to talk with someone who said he was the supervisor.  He said he was sending me a check.  Have any of you gotten your check?   I wonder how many people who are advanced in age even notice this on the bill.  I am advanced in age but still run a business so we check all bills to see if someone is using the phone for personal reason or if we are billed correctly.

My phone has had the 3rd party call blocking enabled for years along with 900 and 976.  AT&T told verified it was still blocked (with some surprise from the AT&T help desk).  However, they have to put the charge on my bill as per Federal Regulations.  So, the question is how I am charged for a 3rd party call when one cannot be made from my phone.I called ILD who billed the 10 10 15 800.  The said I will get a refund check and have the number blocked.Reading ILD's web site, this charge could have been made by ordering so****ing from a merchant who uses you telephone number like a credit card.  However, the only information ILD can provide is the date and time of the charge.  Mine says directory****istance, which sounds more like a telephone access than a merchant charge.  Either way, no one in my household made a call like this or used a merchant.From what I have seen online with ILD, everyone's charges seem to be the about the same and all say directory****istance. If it is truely a merchant charge, then they should provide the merchant's name on the bill and ideally the purchase too.  zzc5w5

I work for one of the phone companies and I see this charge every day from people calling in about their bills. This is a 3rd party provider and by FCC regulations we have to allow their charges on our bills. This is not to say that you have to PAY those charges. If you ask us to put the charges in dispute and add a 3rd party block (which is free) we will happily do so. We do ask that you call the other provider to have the charges reversed, but they don't always comply and we understand that. We will work with you to get the charges taken care of.

Was billed $5.29 + charge of $1.65 for total $7.14 on 7/9/2009. Charges were billed on 7/30/2009 FairPoint Communications bill . Number called 702-5551212 but showed 10 15 15 800 next to name on bill. I do not have a long distance carrier - shows Telseven LLC d/b/a 10 15 15 800 - carrier ADM INISTRTV F.

I too got this charge on my phone bill. I called my local phone company and reported I had not made the call. They are going to issue me a credit for the charge on my bill. They also gave me a number to call to report it. The number is 800-433-4518. I called and reported this to them. they offered to send me a refund check but I told them my local phone company was issuing me a credit. They also blocked this from ever happening to me a***n. Hope this helps.

Got this same problem as everyone else. They are sending me a check supposedly for 7.14. This is ****. But whatever.

parents just received one from qwest.  same deal as above.  will fight.

Also billed for two of these calls.  Local phone company had me call ILD who immediately said they would send me a check.  Quite a scam.  The phone bill is pages long and most people probably just pay this w/o noticing the scammed charges.

My latest bill from *** Communications includes a charge for "DIR****T,NV" for $5.49 for a 1 minute call. Its the same number "702-555-1212" "ILD Toll Charges billed on behalf of Calling 10 15 15 800".I also have an all inclusive domestic calls package, so no additional charges should come up.  We never called this number, we would use 411 or online yellow pages for businesses.This is certainly a scam & looks like it could be a large one.

I was billed $5.49 plus $1.65 and $.45, for a total of $7.59 for a call billed on behalf of 10 15 15 800 to 1 800 555 1212 in Nevada. When I called ILD at 1-800-433-4518 they said they would issue a refund check within 5-10 days, and block any future calls. Now lets see if the check ever arrives!

same problem... charged for this call I did not make.  I need to call qwest.  This really irritates me.

Don't know how they get away with it, but I too was charged $5.49 for a directory****istance call which I never made.  They also add on a carrier administrative fee of $1.65.  ILD TELESERVICES 702-555-1212 is the company,and they so carefully bill it through my local rural telephone company - howinteresting!!  When I called their 800 # they said they would send me a check.However, I was not willing to give them any more information than they alreadyunscrupuously acquired. ILD said a credit could take 2-3 billing cycles.  I then called my telephone company and told them it was a scam.  They said to be adamant about having ILD issuing a credit back to them, and to tell them the phone company would be willing to wait for the credit.  CHECK YOUR PHONE BILLS.

Just received our Qwest tel.bill and have the same scam.Billed a total of $7.28 for a supposed call that neither my wife or I made.We are both Qwest retirees and this is the last place we would call for a tel #.I don't know how they are doing it but it is a total bogus charge.Calling Qwest was no help whatsoever,according to them we are stuck paying this charge per FCC rules and all we can do is ask for a refund from ILD teleservices which I did.They said they would send a check which I refused and asked for a credit on our Qwest bill instead-whether i get it or not remains to be seen,but at least I've got proof on my bill as to the dispute.If no credit I go back to Qwest for a reversal of charges per FCC rules,but I have to go through all the steps.Talk about a *****ed up mess and I get stuck doing all the work while the scammers sit back and rake in the money.

I just got a bill for $7.14 - supposedly for calling 10 15 15 8000 - (number shown on the phone bill - 702-555-1212) - which we never did.  My long distance carrier is refunding the charge and blocked my line from any further charges.

Got bill $5.49 by this company. The CenturyTel billing statement said it was from NV DIR****NT. I contacted CenturyTel and asked to have it removed. Was told that they would not remove the charge. And that I would have to call their 800 number to have the charge removed. I called the number and told them to remove the charge. They said that they would send me a check in the amount of $5.49 and block the number. Is block the number a code for adding more charges? And will I see that check, time will tell. I would like to c****e carriers but, CenturyTel has a Monopoly on landlines out here.
