I don't owe any bills, am 80 years old and it is very ******* me to answer the phone.  I would like these calls to stop.

One call each day at the same time. Rings twice and ****s up. I can't get to my phone in two rings. I live in N.H. No measage.

They call all the time and never leave a message on my ma****e.

I received my first call today 4/6/2010.  They left a message on my answering ma****e that said, "This is a call for (my name)" and then ***g up.

The trick is to get you to call back so they may record the conversation, hopefully after informing you of the recording, and try to get you to admit to owing them a debt and/or promising to pay them so****ing. The reason for this is quite simple: the clock on the statute of limitations s****s ticking a***n from the day you tell them you owe them a debt. They will do almost anything to get you to say this on tape.The good news is that the robo-call and ****up practice is actually in violation of  FDCPA 808 (5) which specifically states:(5) Causing charges to be made to any person for communications by concealment of the true propose of the communication. Such charges include, but are not limited to, collect telephone calls and telegram fees. The reason that it is in violation is that in order to actually figure out who these people are that keep calling and what they want, you have to incur a long distance charge in order to return their call. And these little violations they keep making are actually worth up to $1000.00 a pop to you IF YOU PROVE THE VIOLATIONS IN COURT.

Repeated calls - approximately 5 to 10 a week for months. My caller ID says "not available".  No message is left.

Do what I do. Look at the caller ID if you dont recognize the number dont answer it. If it's that important of a call they will leave a message. Believe me people, there is a reason they never leave a message. They want to catch you on the ohone to make sure they have a viable phone number.Caller ID, one of the best inventions in the world.

Computer voice gives menu of options, then you are supposed to wait for a person.

I got calls from this number repeatedly asking for a Christa.. same last name.. I called them back and told them that it is not me, they said that they removed the number but i just got another call, when i told the guy that they told me they would remove the number last time, he told me there were several debt accounts set up on my number. It's a different social so i'm not sure who it is, but the odd thing is that the number here has been here for 15 years in the same name and it's not even my name.

check the statute of limitations, cause it may have passed for collection on this. Give NO personal info, just in case.
