Call All the time and hours. They re punks
These people call me at LEAST 10 times a day. on my caller ID it is listed "ERMI". they never leave messages, ask for my husband (i have never been married) or **** up on me. i am at my wits end with this. after reading these comments it makes sense it's GE money(creditor).. i owe them under $1000 for my furnace... literally i am sitting here crying.i am making payments but only the minimum so the debt never goes away. this is serious harassment. i feel if i block this number they will just use another autodialer number. these people should not sleep at night.
I am permanently disabled, just got out of the hospital and need sleep!! However, I receive repeated calls from this number for my wife (who is dead). Last time, my caregiver asked if they wanted to speak to my deceased wife; they said "yes". So she put the receiver next to the urn holding my wife's ashes. Eventually they ***g up. But they continue to call and will not identify themselves--just want to speak with my wife. Can anyone help me???
***!!!! This number calls me atleast 6-8 times a day...It is soooooooooooooo annoying. They never leave a meassage and the few times I did pick up they **** up promptly. How do I stop the calls???????????????
Here's another thing I did---I just called the privacy policy 800 number on the back of my Care Credit statement. The rep who answered had the information on the call I shared with Encore. The rep was able to verify that a***n, yes, I was paying on time and there were no problems. I pointed out that Encore was obviously getting it's info from Care Credit/GE Money Bank, and that it was incorrect. The rep said he could clear out my phone number, so it wouldn't be sent to Encore. Don't know what will happen, if this will stop it. The whole idea of a telemarketing call is to create a submissive mind set on the customer's side. Don't be a victim, even if you do owe money. Don't accept anything from people like this. It's a pain, but keep after them. They aren't expecting you to harass them!!
These people are insane...they woke me up with their calls. I finally was sear****g this phone number online when they called me a***n! I finally just had it and called the number back. Someone actually promptly answered to my surprise, but had a very thick accent and was hard for me to understand. They wanted me to give them my phone number, but I refused and told them they should know it--I was kinda mean about this. The rep caved in and repeated back my phone number. They wanted me to ID myself and a***n I meanly said no, you should know who you are calling. They caved a***n and repeated my name. They then had detailed information on a Care Credit account that I have, which is not deliquent. I'm paying regularly, on time, and have a few more months to pay it off. The rep was able to detail all the paymens I had made in the last 2 months. So, I asked why are you calling me, if I get regular bills in the mail and you know I'm paying them promptly! The rep hemmed and hawed, which if I wasn't so mad I probably would have laughed at! She finally conceded that yes, I'm not deliquient and that this call was just a courtesy! She explained that my number was just in the autodialer. I told her a***n rather meanly that she needed to remove my number immediately, because if my account is not in collection, this is harassment. Try my tactic of being a total ***** and demanding them to give you the information. I****ume if they are calling me when I have excellent credit, they are gonna be calling a lot of people in the same boat.
This people keep calling my number a lot of times durin g the day they refuse to leave a message. When I answer they **** up. This a cell phone number which I recently got. This people are only wasting my minutes
They called me 6-8 times a day. They refused to tell me who they were unless I told them MY NAME, which I did not do. half the time, when I would answer, they would **** up. After advising them I had the phone company put a trap on the line for harrassing calls from them, which is a***nst the law, the calls then went to 1 a day. Check out some handy info. listed below:Google : Fair Debt Collection Act It is the federal law which governs debt collection agencies ect.. One of the two biggest rules are: debt collectors can only legally call between 8a.m. and 9p.m. (section 805a of debt collection act) The other is: A creditor may NOT intentionally harrass or abuse by repeated or continuous calling (section 806 of debt collection act)
Calls 3-5 times a day but leaves no message. CID reads "Manassass, VA" and the phone number. I don't know anyone in ******ia.
oops the # is 703-656-9970
They call me 10 times a day and when I finally answer, there is no one there. It is really it***ating. I found out it's a debt solution company for businesses. I dont even have a business! It's ridiculous.
Call several times each day
received 3 phones calls in one hour. could not understand the caller. i asked who was representing and she said eron a financial company. i told her i needed more information and she just kept asking if I was this person and I ***g up.
I have been getting calls from 703-656-9970 since my digital phone was hooked up on Jan 17th. They were my first incoming call. No collection agency would have possibly gotten the number that quickly.Further more they have no reason to be calling me. I **** on long enough for the automative message to come online, but it never does and then I get a click and then dial tone. Thanks to I hate harrassing calling on Nov 24, 2007, I will take the same action.
It appears to be a collection agency. However, when asked point blank if they are a collection agency, they will refuse to answer the question. They are in complete violtaions of Fair Debt Collection Act and should havea class action lawsuit filed a***nst them
ok i receive calls from these collectors as well. i am having financially difficulties at this time and unable to pay my bills. So it an collection agency called encore. trying to collect bad debts. every rep is different. but this rep was willing to****ist me. but at first wanted me to pay the full amt due. which was impossible. if i am unable to make mininum payment. the whole balance is rediculous. anyways. he helped me out with a payment plan. and its not so bad. (credit care, ge money)<--the company that i have bad credit with.
For the last week I have been getting calls from ERMI two to three times a day and night. The caller ID shows the number as 703/656-9960, when looking for this phone number I get that it is located in Manassas, VA and that it is a residental number and that it is unlisted number. I am getting ready to notify the Attorney General of this matter, I am tired of these call.
they call all day, s****ing at 7:30 am and lasts all day until around 10:00pm. I just wish it would stop.
Ive been getting this too... Just recently---day and night calls...early mornings...LEAVE ME ALONE!
This number rings on my cellphone all day long and noone is ever there.
WE KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE AND THEY CALL EARLY IN THE MORNING AND LATE IN EVENING, INCLUDING WEEKENDS. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS IS AND WE ARE SURE THEY HAVE NO REASON TO BE CALLING US. WE WANT THEM TO STOP HARRASSING AND ANNOYING US. tHE WEBSITE INDICTAES IT MAY BE SOME SORT OF COLLECTION AGENCY--AND IF SO, THEY SURELY HAVE NO BUSINESS CALLING US AS WE HAVE NO SUCH OUTSTANDING DEBT.
I also keep getting calls from this number.
The consumer-assistance Web site 800Notes.com features responses from call recipients who finally did get someone to answer this area-code 703 number. Area code 703 with the prefix 656 is for Manassas, Va., a suburb southwest of Washington. One 800notes respondent wrote that she had finally spoken to a live person at the firm after numerous attempts. The phone number is for Encore, a collection agency. The representative "didn't seem concerned" that she was having financial difficulties and kept pushing her to agree to a payment plan she couldn't afford -- $100 a month. When she told him that she couldn't commit to that, he kept reminding her that the automated collection calls would continue and that he was sure she wanted her peace of mind enough to "just take the plan." She found Encore's Web site ( www.tulsaworld.com/ encore ), and its URL -- searched for through the Council of Better Business Bureaus' database -- produced a report on the collection agency: Encore Receiv able Management Inc. -- ERMI -- 400 N. Rogers Road, Olathe KS 66062 ( www.tulsa world.com/KCBBB ) -- (913) 782-3333 or fax (913) 782- 3303. The Kansas City, Mo., Better Business Bureau reported that the firm had a satisfactory record after resolv- ing or addressing 140 complaints in the past three years. The federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires collection agencies to verify that they are pursuing the right person and that the debt is legally owed. The act allows consumers to demand proof that the debt is still owed. The law requires collectors who receive a letter disputing a debt's legality to cease further contact until they verify the debt. Once verification is received the debtor can dispute its legality. The statute of limitations says that no contract can be enforced beyond five years of its default (***le 12, Section 95-A-1). If you agree to enter a contract to repay such a debt, the act no longer protects you. Collectors who ignore such explanations and keep calling, must comply with a written demand expressly refer- encing the debt and containing the following: "Please cease all further communication with me concerning this debt or any other matter." Check the consumer-info Web site www.tulsaworld. com/fairdebts. Send the letter by certified mail, with a return receipt requested. Also, fax the letter and save the "transmission report" as proof that the letter was received. A sample letter appeared in the Oct. 10 Action Line ( www. tulsaworld.com/ALletter ).
multiple calls from this number -- caller id shows "telemarketer" -- finally left message: this message is for (electronic voice says name) and repeats that the message is for a specific person whose name is plugged in by an electronic device - not a person. Says it's from Ms. Sands at Encore Receivable Management about an important business matter and leaves an 866 number to call. Personally -- anything that comes up "telemarketer" on my id is just that -- telemarketer and does not get answered or responded to. I have an unlisted number and can only surmise it's an autodialer.
I HAVE 5 phone calls per day shows as ERMI on my caller id. I have no idea who they are and why they are calling me. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP!?!?!
This is the second day that I have recieved a call from Ermi. I saw on intelius that it is a residential number from Arligton VA. Who is this and how can we get them to stop?
I also keep getting calls from this number. Apparently it's in Arlington, VA but that's all I can tell.
I get calls from this number 2 or more times a day.
I get calls weekly from this number. They do not identify themselves. A recording asks the party who picks up the phone to hold for the next operator. Caller id identifies the number as ERMI.
