This number keeps calling.
squirrel_hudson We applied for a payday loan & then s****ed recieving these calls from an Indian (i guess) saying he was Chris Miller & I figuired it was some type of scam. I knew it had to be a scam because the guy said he wished us "love" & hope we can handle what comes next. I have read some of the posts on here & have seen that alot of people are having the same problem. I will not call them back, for it gives them a reason to keep pursuing us. And I told my husband that if they call his work a***n, to tell them that his employment will take care of their harrasment legally. Sorry to hear about so many people being victims of this but the only thing I can think of doing is ignoring them & not giving them any power.
Male caller had thick Hindi accent, identified himself as calling on behalf of Wolrd PC Tech. Informed me some kind of flag was triggered by my computer and Microsoft had them looking into it because I'm such a good customer. (I laughed so hard at the ludicrousness of it all) I let the **** 'Sam George' go on and on, had him repeat it a bunch of times pretending I didn't fully understand what could possibly have happened to cause my computer to alert Microsoft. Finally after tossing him around like a cat with a ball of paper, I told him I just remembered I had an appointment and would call him back because he sounded like such a nice man. Asked for his number repeated it to him a couple of times to get his hopes up. Now he can wait until I'm **** good and ready to call........ which will be the day after never!!
Nichole I too have been receiving phone calls from these people since last week. They have called my cell & my work. I have been told to have my attorney contact them, and they have threatened me twice. They are saying they are going to contact my employer, and they also said that "I should prepare myself to face the worst nightmare of my life". I live in Des Moines, IA and have contacted my Attorney General. He said this is a scam, and if they keep harrassing me I should report them to the FBI. Which I may end up doing, because I just got to work and had another threatening message from this *!#hole on my voicemail. They also called me twice on Sa****ay, and I told them I was going to report them to the FBI if they didn't quit harrassing me, which obviously didn't scare them at all if they called me at work first thing.
nicole swoger I just got the same call but they wont give me any info they just **** up when i ask for the company name and supervisour info... This is a total scam people becareful

Plasta Got a call from Justin Smith 760-514-0148 and I know that I don'e owe any loans, but I do have a payroll cash advance open and this happened about a couple of months ago, as soon as the cash advance was paid back, the calls stopped. I will not even pick up the phone when I see a number I don't know and I suggest you do the same. Justin Smith, with a heavy accent that is almost too hard to understand left me a message to have my attorney call him. Hopefully the calls will stop when the advance is paid off in a couple of weeks. But be on your guard and don't even return the call or give any information, better yet, don't even pick up the phone if you don't recognize the number and good luck
cc you can call FBI or FTC.gov18773824357for fraud or customer reporting.i di both, you can also call police if you think your life might be treaten since they know all your infor or address. we should get they.
Mad as Hell I got a call this morning and last week from these animals. Caller ID 052522977 showed this bogus number. Thanks to all of you, I traced them as far as Cash Connect. Cash Connect is not a legal debt collector. They are scammers. The numbers they use are 760-514-0173 and 760-514-0172 and other possible numbers. What they due is call from an offs**** call center masking the call or illegaly using someone elses number without them knowing about it make these bogus collection calls. Tracing these numbers will eventually lead to a dead end. Cash Connect is not a legal company in any of the 50 US States. There are companies with similar names but they are not the same type of operation. There are also Pay Day loan companies who use the name Cash Connect or Connection. These businesses are usually a front for some othe illegal activity which why when you find their website the contact us is always a blind form to some email. Companies that hide behind a vail like this are definitely setting traps to defraud people out of money.Your options are as follows:1. Tell them to F-Off when they call and **** up.2. Does this sound like the calls you are receiving? 3. Any lawful debt collector will tender their claim in writing per the requirements set fourth in the FDCPA.4. See below.PROTECT YOURSELF! The Better Business Bureau issued an alert today saying consumers across the country are getting phone calls from bogus debt collectors claiming default on a payday loan. Of course, the consumer needs to pay a large fee to avoid arrest -- as much as $1,000.The caller poses as a lawyer, and may threaten extradition to face trial if the consumer doesn't pay up immediately. What makes these calls alarming -- and perhaps convincing -- is that the perpetrators reference the consumer's personal information, such as the person's Social Security number, driver's license number, previous bank account numbers, home address -- even personal references."The amount of information they have is really troubling," says BBB spokeswoman Alison Southwick. She adds that the amount of data points to a possible security breach.Spread the word to your friends and family: Don't give out personal or financial information to an unknown caller. Scammers can s**** Caller ID to display different numbers, so trust your instincts over technology. The BBB offers these tips:• Ask the debt collector to provide official do***entation which substantiates the debt. • Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call. • File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online if the caller is abusive, uses threats or otherwise violates federal telemarketing laws or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. • File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online if you believe a debt collector is trying to scam you.Consumer Alert: Attorney General warns Kansans of debt collection scamJanuary 29, 2010 -- Attorney General Steve Six is cautioning Kansas consumers about telephone calls from apparent fake debt collectors who are impersonating law enforcement officers in an effort to extort money from consumers. Consumers are warned to not submit payments to these fraudulent debt collectors. When calling, the scammers most often state they are attempting to collect a debt related to an internet payday loan obtained by the consumer, but which the consumer never repaid. Consumers state they have never obtained such a loan or paid off the loan years ago. The scam artists have most recently identified themselves as ACS, National Affidavit Processing Department and United Financial Crime Division, but may use additional phony names. It appears the phone numbers used by the scammers are “s****ed” numbers, so that the number appearing on a consumer’s caller ID is not the actual number of where the call originated. It appears the calls in question may be originating from outside the United States. When questioned, the individual calling refuses to disclose the full name or address of the collection agency they claim to represent. These scammers have been able to provide consumers with identifying information, such as the consumer’s social security number, home address, e-mail address, names of family members and the consumer’s computer IP address. Since the callers are able to provide valid personal information, consumers may become confused and believe they are being contacted in regard to a legitimate debt.If the initial debt collection scam is unsuccessful, consumers have been re-contacted months later with the scammers posing as law enforcement officers or officers of the court. Typically, the consumer is threatened with arrest for fraud or some other fic***ious crime unless the consumer agrees to immediately wire money via Western Union. The fic***ious officers strive to frighten and confuse consumers into compliance by using legal sounding terms such as “We’re filing an affidavit a***nst you” or by stating a lawsuit has been or is in the process of being filed a***nst the consumer.A hallmark of each scam has been calling consumers repeatedly at their place of employment. This scam hit home when an employee of the Kansas Attorney General’s Office was repeatedly called both on her cell phone and at work. Despite the employee’s repeated verbal disputes, the caller refused to provide any identifying information to allow her to send a written dispute. The scammer also continued to call her numerous times a day regarding a payday loan she denied obtaining. Two months later, she was a***n contacted by telephone by an individual identifying himself as an “officer”. “I denied owing the debt and refused to pay without being provided validation of the debt. I was then told, ‘If that’s the case, I will have local law enforcement come to your place of business and drag you out kicking and screaming’,” stated the employee.“It is important for consumers to know their rights under the law,” Attorney General Six said. “If a consumer is receiving calls from a debt collection company and believe it is a scam, I encourage them to contact our office immediately.”Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), collectors are required to send consumers a written notice within five days of the initial contact. The notification should contain information such as the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed and a statement informing the consumer they have thirty days to contact the debtor in writing to dispute the debt or request validation of the debt. In addition, legitimate debt collectors are prohibited by the FDCPA from making false or misleading representations, such as the consumer has committed a crime, implying nonpayment will result in the consumer’s arrest, or using the threat of violence.More information is available on the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf. Anyone who reads the post from Denise Williams, don not believe what she is claiming...I begun recieving these calls yes****ay. As did a friend of mine...I spoke to a friend of mine at the Attourney General's office and he said they're building a case a***nst 'United Nations Legal Department' on behalf of the numerous complaints they've recieved in the state alone...so it appears as though Denise Williams is simply someone from United Nations Legal Department trying to scare you all into giving them money...DON'T DO IT...if you know you've comitted no crime you owe them nothing...plus, we all agree these people call with thick India accents and if you notice the poor grammer used in Denise Williams post...Don't worry, they're close to getting shut down and we all can go back to answering our phones a***n...
