Anonymous Always shows No Potential Owner....I guess someone that has nothing to do but torment people.

Anonymous This phone number, 1 (800) 219-2781 (supposed billing department, open on Saturday's), is ****f of Pepco (Exolon Company). The initial call came from (240) 951-4378, telling me that me I'd better call the 1-800 number within the hour, or they'd cut my power. They called saying I owed a ridiculous amount of money to Pepco. Their number leads to what sounds like Pepco's automated system, but is not as complex, because it ultimately leads to the same person. I called back numerous times, and the person who answered the phone disguised their voice to sound like a different person (a woman). I ask them to confirm my account number to verify if this was in fact Pepco that I was talking to, and they hung up on me.

Mic****e They are posing as an Idaho Power employee in the collection department. They threatened to turn off the power in 1 hour unless they receive payment. This is a total scam. Hang up and report directly to Idaho Power.

Keep receiving calls about power being disconnected in 30 minutes and to call billing department. Bill is paid... SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

scottiey Got a call saying there has been suspicious activity reported regarding my social security number. Turned out to be a debt collector attempting to verify identity through lame scare tactics.

I just looked on my caller ID and found that the company name is "Safe Solutions".  Now does that sound like Google...I don't think so.  They are not honest!  STay away!!!

jacob it seems to be a possible scam, it's either Google wanting to update your business profile or it's a company that got your information from google map listing and is trying to impersinate google, either way it's just a solicitation.

Liz I think it was Karen who called me. ADT kept calling me about home security systems (funny since I live in a city apartment building). I'm on the do not call list -- it's getting a bit ridiculous.

Yep Didn't bother calling back after reading this thread, but it was a woman's voice. The line had a bit of static, and she said "Hello? Hello?" The rest of it was garbled, but I could've sworn she said my name before hanging up. I don't owe anybody any money (at the moment) so I wondered...lol.

This number has called our home for years. Regardless, of what car we have. Even after we bought a NEW car with a full warranty that isn't going to expire for years, we still got he calls from this company wanting us to "extend our warranty that was about to expire." Same recording every time. How can this be legal?

Picked up. The man on the other end identified himself as "Zack" and began to talk (seemed hesitant) and then nothing. Sounded as if we lost connection but he may have hung up. Called back and it was an automated message talking about break-ins and so I hung up (since there was no ring or actual person).

Anne I got a call on my cell phone from this number.  Not recognizing it, but recognizing that the area code was toll free (and, therefore, that the call was probably from a telemarketer), I did not pick up.  No message was left.
