Got a call today about my debit card being locked and knew it had not so thought I would also post on this site and hope no one is dumb enough to give them any information. I was to slow answering so a message was left. Automated male voice saying to call 800-776-4600. Looked it up online and found it to be Nationwide Recovery Service (formerly AMO). Since this call came in on the company after-hour support line, I decided to call just for the fun of it. I got the typical "all reps are busy" message, but it did include a countdown as to how many people were ahead of me. Nice touch. When they finally picked up, they asked how to direct my call. I told them about the message and they put me back on hold - with a new countdown. I sat through this countdown too (because I wanted to have fun with them). Once a***n I heard the same question and was put on hold a***n with another countdown. So much for my fun. I just ***g up. If they call back maybe I can learn so****ing more to post here.
I received a call on my cell phone. It claimed to be from "Super Credit Union" and claimed that my debit card had been locked. It included a reply-to number of 800-776-1779. I have no relationship with this company. My wife has received similar messages from that same company but with different return phone numbers via both cell phone and email.
