FAKE! Called me 5X on a Sunday (from 816.420.1002) and on 5th call at 8:30 at night, finally left a message to call "Citicard" at 800.298.6359 with my "access code". No thanks- don't do it...it's a scam.

They called me 5× this Saturday starting very early in the morning. I have a citi card but it's not past due or anything. I agree it must be a scam.

Called the "real" citi # on my card - this is not citi cards - do not answer, or call the # they leave on voice mail - total scam!!

This number is connected to an automated / prerecorded outbound message system. It is a third-party system collecting past-due amounts for Citicards and Citibank accounts.

I called Citibank and they said this number was NOT part of their system. It's a scam.

I have the exact same complaint. 816-420-1002 calls me several times daily! When I do pick up the call there's nobody there and the call is disconnected. Extremely annoying.

I called customer service, and let them know that I paying the payment. But the automated service keeps calling from 8am to 9pm.

This number keeps calling 3 - 4 times a day... sometimes it leaves a message saying it is from citicards and to call back. It gives you a 800 number and a P code...Really? Very suspicious.

My daughter's cell is getting calls form this number. She is a minor and does not have a CitiBank card, and her number is not related to my card which is not current and has been de-activated years ago. Please tell me how to stop these.

We keep getting calls from this number on our home phone, which is unlisted, and we're on the do not call list.  Our answering machine records 'press 9' in Spanish and then nothing, so I'm assuming a message plays and gets to this point about the time our machine starts recording.  I do have several Citibank accounts but none are in default.  Several are saying this is a scam, I'm going to call Citibank about this and block the number.  If I call it back I get a fast busy signal.

Got a text message on my cell phone the other day from Citi group.  Then this morning I get a phone call from them on my cell phone.  This started after I put my cell phone number on LinkedIn.

17 calls in the last two weeks.  I finally called the number back from a caller ID blocked phone and was greeted by "Citycards"  They wanted my "secret code" I used when I set up the account (my accounts with Citi are well over 30 years old) so I said that I don't give things like that out.  I told her that I would give her my SS number if she would give me hers - she hung-up, but I still keep getting more calls.

Claims to be Citibank and calls for info. Spoke to Citibank and they deny it's them, nor are we having any issues with Citibank that they need to call us.

This is NOT CITIBANK, and is most likely a SCAM. Suspicious things about this call: 1) After answering the call, you hear a recorded message that identifies the caller as Citibank, and then I was placed on hold for a long period of time until an agent answered. 2) Agent greeted me with "Thank you for calling Citi" and asked "what can I assist you with today?" 3) I replied "Nothing, you called me." 4) Agent then asked for password on my account, prompting me that it may be my mother's maiden name. 5) I gave the agent an incorrect mother's maiden name telling her it was "Obama" and she didn't flich! LOL! 6) Agent then asked me for the SSN of the primary cardholder. "No thank you" I said, and hung up. Called Citibank to confirm whether this was a legitimate call, or telephone number, and they checked my account records which had no calls, or alerts that a Citibabk agent would need to call me.

called 2 times today and said it was Citi Corp and card was in wife's name and 1 month behind and wanted bank account info. Entire call was recording with no true proof of who it was. I just hung up. It may be Citi bank or Citi Corp but I did't fall off the turnip truck yesterday, no one gets my bank info that easy.

Automated calls from CitiBank. The show in caller ID as Citicorp Credit. My wife has called them to complain as she is the card holder. This just started happening within the last 4 wks. I've had at least 4 of these calls today alone.

It's a SCAM!! Do not listen to these blogs about people saying it's a legitimate but I DID just call the number from my credit card and they said this number is bogus and they would have made notes if someone from Customer Service called but no notes!! They WILL ask for your account number-don't be naive!!

This number shows up on my cell phone in excess of 4 times per day! This is ridiculous! Whomever it is doesn't see fit to leave a message either. It's really annoying and doesn't seem to be an effective way to do business (if that's what this is).
