Ashford University is a legit college. It has a campus in Iowa and has an online program based out of San Diego. If you are getting calls and dont knwo why its probably becasue you filled out an online survey or were applying for a job that asked you about college. Requests get sent to several schools, and they have no idea if they are valid requests or not. Ask to be taken off the list, verbage is very important. If they keep calling ask to speak to a manager. They cannot delete peoples inquiries without their permission becasue it is a FERPA violation. The longer you wait to tell them the more annoyed you will get. Not spam. They actually enroll quite a few students through calls like the ones your getting. So if you complain on here, blame yourself for not taking action sooner.

I purchased a new phone the second week of March and since then have been saddled with calls from this number repeatedly. I have told Ashford that I am NOT the person they are trying to reach and have asked to be taken off their list, but still I continue to get calls at least every other day. My phone is a registered business number so its not a simple case of c****ing my number. Ive reported them to DO NOT CALL and am planning on doing whatever is necessary to get them to stop.

You have to pickup the phone. Politely or impolitely stop the person from speaking and say please take me off of your list. You have to do this TWO separate times for they will not believe the first time unless you speak with the manager. After that, if you want to stop the other, place your number on a national do not call list and it will block your number for good. Never just **** up because they take this as maybe next time you will be interested.

Apparently my mother in law requested information from some school for me. They keep calling over and over, relentlessly. Why can't they take the hint that I'm not interested? What kind of a credible school would continue to hound someone who's obviously not interested? Seriously, there's got to be so****ing better for them to do.

Daily calls. Told them I am on the do not call but they keep calling daily. I do not answer anymore.

This was the 2nd call to a cell phone that is listed on the do not call list. The caller was asked to remove the phone number when the first call came in. I will pursue a course of legal action, as my daughter is an attorney. The caller has ***g up on me on both occasions.

I keep getting phone calls from this number and I don't answer because of all the telemarketer calls I've been getting lately. They leave a message on my vocemail with some ****** love song. This has happened three times now. My husband was a bit concerned, so I decided to do some research. I'm not amused... Ashford University used to call me a lot before and I told them to stop and that I was on the do not call list, so now they s**** this? Do they think I'm going to call them back and they can talk me into signing up for their school or so****ing? What's the point? If I was ever thinking about signing up for college they've just taken themselves completely off my list of possible schools.

I requested info. from these people over the internet. Your phone # is required to get info., but why in the***** would you continue to hound someone for not answering the phone to acquire this info. It's a bit ridiculous and I will not attend their school either. No means no. People like these are equivalent to ****** - they take and take - until you can't take it anymore.

Geico - for me it was a Geico Insurance courtesy call, which is totally fine and I'm very happy with their communication style with me in general. HOWEVER, I am not someone who just asked them for a quote, I'm an actual customer, so I really don't mind them calling me!
