This number keeps calling thru out the day and when we pickup nobody answers.

if it was real i would be able to call back......i just tried to and also it said that the number is wrong.......

Stop the calls or leave a message whoever you are.

They say they are CitiCard, but when I answer, they hang up. When they leave a message, they ask me to enter in my account number, and CitiCard says it isn't them.

Very nerve racking. They call at all hours of the night. I don't answer because I don't know anyone in Kentucky.

at times they call up to 10 to 12 times a day I have spoken with them and they say its automated and that they must speak with someone to stop the calls however the calls do not stop. citibank is the worst i never again will deal with them

I've spoken with citibank and there is no need to call my number up 10 times a day and when I answer the line is terminated on their end. There is never a msg. the calls are pointless.

I am called 4 or 5 times everyday to collect a debt. I tried to reason with these people with no satisfaction. They raised my credit card interest from 8.73% to 29.98% without me ever being late or behind on payments for all the years that I have had this account. I told them if they went back to 8.73% I would gladly pay my debt. They refused, so I will never give them another DIME as long as I am alive.

i receive these calls at least 15 to 40 times per day. i have stopped paying all of my credit cards due to the fact that they have raised there rates from an average of 5-12% to 45-75% in the last 2 months. i refuse to pay a min of 629.45 on a balance of 1145.45 on my card. hell the min is more than i pay for my mortgage each month and thats only one card i have a total of 4 with a balance of no more than 2200. on each. two months ago i received a bill for a min payment of 345.87 on a card with a balance of 276.00 now how is that even possible. once i got that i said to hell with the credit card companies. they are the ones who have placed this country into the worse recession since the 30's.

They call me ten times a day and even on sunday.....i dont answer my phone usually unless i know the number or they leave a message and i know who it is...but they never leave a msg and they call non stop and weekends!!! Some of us WORK!!!

Citibank has been calling by cell phone incessantly. I don't have a Citibank account.

Citibank. They call two to three times per day. I intentionally missed the last payment because their interest rates are too high. I refuse the calls for now.

These people are rediculous. I was late on one payment and they call over and over all day long. I have seen calls as early as 8:30am and as late as 8:55pm, even on Sundays. I'm not home much and they never leave a message. I have answered and no one is there and it/they hang up. It's got to stop.

forgot to make a payment last month and the one time i do i get call after call from citibank. when i answer nobody is there. doesn't matter what day or what time they keep calling. i'm tired of the calls. needs to stop

THIS IS NOT CITIBANK!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT OR SSN INFORMATION!! I don't know what to say about the reports above but I've received 3 calls from this number this weekend. When I called the number on my CITI card to ask what this was about, they transfered me to their fraud unit immediately and had to freeze both my accounts. All they would tell me is 1) this is not an authorized CITI caller 2) there is an ongoing fraud investigation.I know that when you call this number back, it sounds just like the CITI prompts. Crazy.  But trust me, if you've given these folks any of your personal information, please call the number on the back of your CITI card immediately and let them know.

They have been calling my office all week. My guess would be like 20 x's/day. There is either noone who answers you or it disconnects if you put it on hold or if someone actually answers you they don't want to leave a voice mail, they'll call back. WELL I bet they will!!! I too tried to call the # back & it said Citi cards. Why don't they stop bothering people, whether it is at work or home. STOP CALLING, we'll let you know if we want you for something. YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME!!!

They've called me on my cell phone several times today. When I pick up, there is silence, or it asks me to hold, and then there is silence. When I called the number back it claims to be "AT&T/Citi." The phone number is variously described as originating from Boone KY or Florence KY. On the Internet, when you search on this number, someone claiming to be a "Debra Davis" has posted the exact same thing on several sites claiming that it's a wonderful idea to answer this call. Without being sure, it seems to me like scammers who somehow looked up your credit report and found some report on it from Citibank. However, I don't know for sure.

this number appears to be a boiler room operation, heavy accents of non-english as first language persons from Phillipines. Susposedly representing AT &T; no way to verify.  Appears to be Citi;  to whom A T & T has out sourced its services? Cheaper labor cost?  Do not give out critical information until you are satisfied  they are legitimate; as I just did NOT do.

This number called me between 1 and 6 times a day for about a month. Never left message and no one there if you answer. I finally called the number back today and it is Citicards. When I got a human on the phone he asked me if I had an account with Citi...Sears Diners HOmeDepot ect...they didnt even know why they were calling! I said I have HOme Depot but there is no reason to call me everyday all day long. He finally said he could transfer me to HomeDepot. 2 more transfers later and I find out the reason they are calling is offering to reopen the account that I am currently on a payment plan with. NO THANK YOU. Im trying to get out of debt, not get in more. We'll see if the calls stop now.

I keep getting calls from this number 1-859-283-8073, 4-5 times a day.  I have never had a Citibank account, so I am figuring that the person that had my cell phone number before me is indebted to them.  How does one go about telling them to quit calling?

This is CitiCards.  Unless you know that your account is delinquent, ANSWER THIS CALL.  I had been ignoring it for a long time, and then finally answered it to tell them to F*** Off, then found out it was a good thing I answered it!  I made a complaint that they need to leave a message so people don't ignore their call, but they think that people just won't call back, assuming it is a collections message, so they just try to get a hold of the person.  In my specific case, I had been on a payment plan with them due to past dilinquency, complied with it, so they were rewarding me by reopening my account for a LOWER interest rate!  Thank goodness they were persistent!

Thanks people!I rec'd a call, the ID was 1 digit off from the one above and the recording was that I "reached the number in error. Please check it and call again."I cancelled all three of my citibank cards at least a half year ago because I contested a charge, the company ["EXAM SERVICES" (everyone stay away!)] LIED through CONTRADICTING themselves in their communication and IDIOTS at citibank, knowing I returned the goods, said, "Gee, they say I don't have a right to my money back so the charge will go through." I wrote them back saying if that's the measure of stupidity and incompetency of citibank then I don't want them handling my money matters. After repeating such attempts to cancel the cards they never acknowledged the cancellation and the slimeballs kept sending statements like nothing ever happened.I paid off every penny I took from them and all their late fees and finance charges since the initial request to cancel, I did not pay.I just now spoke to a customer service manager explaining I paid off every penny I spent and have NOOOOOOOO intention of every paying the "late fees" and "finance charges" on an account that shouldn't have existed. I have DOCUMENTATION of at least one request to cancel. I have delivery confirmation of the three cut-up cards sent back to "THE LAKES, NV."
