The caller stated that he was calling on behalf of GeekSquad, and they wanted to run a diagnostic check on my computer. The call instructed me to power on my computer. When I informed the caller that my household only operates Macintosh, he ask if they were any Windows operating systems present; I said no. I confronted the caller, stating that GeekSquad would never contact a consumer to run a diagnostic on a PC over the phone. The caller then c****ed his story and said he was representing Microsoft. I once a***n confronted the caller, as to why he keeps c****ing his story. The caller then ****s up. This sounds "fishy". No company; Microsoft or GeekSquad is going to contact a consumer via phone to instruct them to run a diagnostics test on their PC.
