I appreciate them trying to save the environment by recycling a dusty Scam, but come on do a little more homework you uneducated dopes. Make it at least look legitimate with a phoney website and a dummie answering service for a phone number.Wish i could track-back this phone number and give them a DOS problem, or flood their SMTP ports on the fax ma****es and fry the ****og board.
We received a fax from EnviroFax Commission that contained no address, just a telephone number: 888-220-2706.Checked online - can find no info on this "company or commission".Sure looks like a scam to sell fax numbers.
This is a legit service. By the way, I currently own the Golden Gate Bridge, and am willing to sell. Call me at 888-220-2706.
Scams du jourThe Better Business Bureau is warning about a company that promises to get rid of unwanted faxes for free.We received a fax from EnviroFax Commission that contained no address, just a telephone number: 888-220-2706.EnviroFax, whose name suggests an effort to save trees, said we would fax over all our unwanted faxes, EnviroFax could get our company's name off these marketing lists. We were su****ious. When we couldn’t find any information on EnviroFax on the Internet, we called the BBB.Remember, your company has to pay to send faxes. In addition, the BBB told us that this sales pitch is deceptive.“The group’s primary goal is to confirm valid fax numbers for advertisers under the guise of taking your name off a list,” she said. “Instead, they are selling the list.”
I send this type of trash to the FCC and Indiana Attorney Generals office regularly. I do get responses from both, Indiana is much quicker, and has on occassion sent me do***ents to sign because they are sueing and or procescuting the offending party. "EnviroFax" is going to both, today.
why do people still fall for these scams?
I received a fax from Envirofax and sent them some unwanted faxes for removal. All I received was a surge in more unwanted faxes
i received a fax from "envirofax" non-profit claiming to help stop unwanted faxes. i googled their # 888.220.2706 and found only complaints
Received a fax from Environfax Commission stating they could help stop unwanted faxes. I googled them, nothing on line and no listing for this phone number. DONOT give them your fax. Sounds like a scam, look into it before you subject yourself to more unwanted faxes.
