Me This is poor practice on AT&T's behalf, but they call and tell you that important changes are needed on your AT&T Mobile account and that you need to call them back. The "important" change is that your contact is up and you're eligible for an upgrade. They make it seem like something is wrong with the account. You can safely ignore them.

To all: most debt collectors are ex-cons and drug addicts. They don't know anything accept how to con other people
Frank How about worry about collecting beyond SOL accounts and don't worry about me watching Judge Judy Beotch!
George Oh - one other thing: the number given to me to respond to (866-319-9553 ) answered with a message asking me to leave a message and they would call me back. Are you SERIOUS?? I left a message telling them what was going on - wonder if they will respond. Hmmmmm.
George STOP !!!!
George You people have been harrassing me for months on end.Today is the 3rd time I have called asking you to STOP CALLING ME. I am NOT the person that you are looking for. My name isn't by any stretch of the imagination even remotely close to the name of the person that you ARE looking for. I was promised the 2nd time I called that this would stop. I am not sure what the problem is, but I am beginning to think that you guys are idiots. I try hard to be patient - I realize that your job must suck -but - ENOUGH is ENOUGH. I would really appreciate it if you people would give it a rest. Is that asking too much???

yea same here!!! i dont know a jenniffer xxxxxxxxxxx. quit calln my fn house people i dont owe u squat!!!
Ok, Stellar Recovery...answer this. What do I do in the case where you keep calling me to collect a debt for someone I never heard of? This has been going on for 3 years now. Probably account was sold off to other collection agencies numerous times. The only thing I can think of is that the debtor had my phone number at one time and now I have it. I have requested they remove my number and they said they will comply, but the calls still keep coming. I've had enough and I will do something about this.
Son-of-an-Attorney "Tim" is completely misled. Never trust information from *any* debt collector if they are 3rd party, like Stellar Recovery, and your debt has past your state's statute of limitation. It's their job to mis-inform you and unwittingly engage you into re-opening your debt by getting you to acknowledge that your past defaulted debt is now their legitimate collection and your responsibility to pay; it's not. They are counting on you not to know your rights or legal position in the hopes of duping you into assuming your debt with them. It's that simple. They have no right to collect from you until you give them the right by acknowledging it with them, and entering into negotiation to resolve it with them. It's how they make their profit; it doesn't rectify your credit/financial standing with the originator one bit. This type of collector 'options' (buys) your debt from the originator in the hope of coercing you into paying it back, and usually under some sort of financial threat. The Fair Credit Act supports you, the consumer, and not Tim, the collector. He may be legally entitled to call you with reasonable frequency, according to your state's laws and federal guidelines for such calls, in an attempt to convince you that you owe his company that past debt, interest, and fees, but you have every right not to take that call, and not to enter into any negotiation with him and his company at all. There is *never any reason* to answer a 3rd party debt collection call; the matter of your debt is most assuredly a resolved matter, as far as the originator is concerned. The originator has already collected a 'settlement' on your account/debt by selling it to Tim's company, and they will not receive a dime from his company. The originator has already reported you unfavorably to a credit reporting agency. In most cases, your credit is already damaged and it is up to you, and your financial status, as to whether or not you can, and are willing, to repay; if you are willing and able, contact the originator for settlement; don't deal with collection agencies unless you are specifically instructed by the originator to do so, using the contact information they provide. If you are willing and able to repay your outstanding debt, that usually means you can afford an attorney, which is definitely the best course to pursue; an attorney can remove all of the inflated charges and illegitimate interest that collection agencies have tacked on and reported 'in assumption'.Tim's right about one thing, there's a ton of legal information on the web about these situations and your rights. Here's a good place to start http://www.budhibbs.com just make sure you understand what you're reading, and have it interpreted by a lawyer or legal adjunct qualified to give you legal advice according to your state and situation.Good luck, and I hope you (et al) have a great financial future.
julie Stellar Recovery is the most awful collection agency that there is. Tim, you must be the most fortunate man in the world to never have any unexpected accidents or layoffs which make it impossible to pay all of your bills. Tim, you are are the ignorant one. I have always respected debt collectors until Stellar Recovery. Everyone I spoke was not willing to work with me, and they lied, and made threats to garnish wages and put a lien on my house. They made the threats because I was not going to pay the amount they wanted per month, I was going to pay what I could afford. So Tim if you want respect maybe you should show a little respect. Most people do not intentionally plan on not paying their bills. Oh yeah I don't watch Judge Judy or any TV. Grow up Tim!
Tim I work for Stellar Recovery! People like "FRANK" are confused about a few things. Because a debt has been charged off even 20 years ago, does not mean that us calling is illegal by any means. Its a valid debt! The only thing the stature of limitations protects you "DEBTORS" from is being taken to court, or showing a fresh judgment on your credit report. If your going to act like a know it all maybe you should get the FACTS straight first before making yourself look like a TOOL over the internet. Look into the FDCPA - Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and the FTC - Federal Trade Commission (Who Regulates The FDCPA). Im serious people, treat the collectors with respect. It's not our fault you never paid your bill and it whent to collections and was re-sold a few times because you've managed to dodge it long enough for "STATS" to protect you from your own mistake. Collectors have the ability to legal call until the matter is resolved. I suggest 2 options. 1. Pay the bill (You can even request 20% to 40% settlements and most will work with you) Or 2. Send a letter to the agency requesting to either only be contacted by mail or a C&A letter (Requesting to never be contacted again, which is bad esp. w/recent debt to where they could make decisions regarding collection steps without having to legally notify you). In reality resolving these matters is terribly simple. The worst thing you can do is sit back on your couch all day, watching judge judy and starring at your Caller I.D counting how many times the Agency has called. I mean seriously? Get a life. And to you FRANK, Next time you think your informing and helping these people on WhoCallsMe.com, make sure you have your facts straight before they end up hiring a lawyer and losing a case to one of our brilliant lawyers in court. Good Day And PAY YOUR BILL!

Lisa I also keep getting calls and when I called back some guy answered "Hello" I stated is the Stellar Recovewry he is all "Yeah" I said you guys are calling my number 100 times a day for someone who does not live here and it needs to stop, Jesus. He stated I am not Jesus I am Richard, do not use his name in vane. I said excuse me Richard what is your last name he said Cocharns and I hung up on him. He has now called me back from a 720-227-9559 and asking for people and hanging up on me. I called back the # and got the operator and said for a supervisor immediately. She transferred me to a Sue Knoz who stated she could not locate my number in the system and it must of been removed. I let her know that these harrasing calls have better stop or I will take further action.
julie a computerized call came from a "stella" or "stellar" collection company stating my husband owed a debt. i know we do not have any outstanding debts so i will refuse to persue this call. i would have spoken to a human if it were possible at the time but that option was not available.
Be Computer Calls repeatedly during the afternoon and evening hours about a debt.
B They have called everyday in the afternoon for the past 6-8 months. The recording specifically ask for a guy named Daniel Omensomething...ATT wanted 5 bucks to block them but that seemed counterproductive since the call cost me nothing and only wastes their bandwidth. After I called the number several times, they removed me from the their list....hopefully.
Recieved a call from 1-888-318-7044 at 8:45 PM Tuesday night. A lady with a "recovery company" - Stellar Recovery/Star Recovery - that collects old debts. She used my maiden name the debt must be over 12 years old!!!! I told her not to call again and I did not appreciate her calling my house so late. She tried to tell me by law she could call until 9:00 PM.!!! Very Rude!!!!
S Called with a pre-recorded message for my old maiden name. regarding a debt left this number to call back. stated company name as Stellar Recovery.
Pedro Called about a debt supposedly, the voicemail recording had my name as well. 'Stellar Recovery' or something like that. Wants me to call 888-218-7049
Andy Called several times. After speaking with an agent, they had no idea why they were calling. Given the name, I'm sure it was out of statute debt.
This is a debt collector, calling for old (long past SOL) debts. I didn't catch their name.
