Paypal Email thanked me for making a $257.43 purchase and to call the (888) number if I didn’t order. Beware!

Anonymous I called this phone number in response to what I thought was a legitimate ALERT from Apple Pay. The man who answered the phone identified himself as "Gary". I asked him to tell me what this was about and what we had supposedly purchased. He said it was Bit-Coins and paid 172.85. I told him we did NOT purchase anything at all and then he said he would turn this over to their Financial Fraud Department! I then knew I had a scammer on the line and hung up the phone. He was the scammer!!

This is a telemarketer calling about student loan forgiveness programs that do not exist. I have had several calls, each from a different number, with exactly the same recorded message. 888-673-1624 is always the number given to call back.

I received e-mail from the Mexican government with this phone number attached. the e-mail address reads [email protected]. they have seized funds for the sale of my timeshare and I am trying to find out if they are legitimate

Got the call after updating my careerbuilder resume. Didn't call back b/c they didn't leave a company name
