I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.

I keep getting calls from this number that says it's from Ontario, Ca***a.  If they are a collection agency, isn't it illegal if they are in another country?

Computer generated call:press 1 for more info on a 'non compliance contract agreement and then they put me on hold!!!!As far as I know we have no old debt. Ihope this is the first and last we hear of them.

This company repeatedly calls my home and ****s up on my voicemail without leaving any type of message.  In like term, I have therefore repeated called them back, dialing *67 prior to area code and number (this blocks your number and thus they are unable to identify you as said caller) and simply say nothing....they do not seem to like this.  I have also located additional numbers for Global:  (905) 413-8586 (905) 413-8660 (905) 764-6639 (905)709-1815.  My logic is if they can dish it out...they should be able to take it!  Incidently, (and I do find this embarrassing to admit) I am in the process of bankruptcy proceedings.  All of my attorney's information has been provided to all of my creditors...so Global legally has no right to contact myself regarding this matter.  I have found the above stated process rather entertaining as it has actually caused the company to forward their phones to their voicemail system and has ultimately disrupted THEIR work day.....give it a try.......ENJOY!

This is for Global Credit.  They consistently call my home and **** up on my answering ma****e.  So, playing by their rules, I continuously called them back, dialing *67 before the 1 + phone number (this conseals your caller ID on their end) and simply said nothing.  I did this for over an hour and was more than thrilled to discover that they soon turned on their answering ma****e.  My logic is this:  They must enjoy the harrassment as they have no problem dishing it out to others.  I strongly suggest that others also impliment the above steps in dealing with Global Credit.  Here is also an additional number they can be reached at:  905-413-8660.  Have fun!!!!!!

I have been receiving calls for about 2 years regarding a debt that I had in the early 80s with a small department store chain called Beall's.  I disposed of the debt (just a few ***dred bucks) in a bankruptcy after losing my job and being unable to find another for so long I had no other choice - either that or lose my home.  This and what seem to be several other companies have apparently purchased from Beall's the rights to attempt to collect this debt - illegally.  They usually follow up with a letter and I send a cease and desist letter and they just pass it on to another of their unscrupulous colleagues.  It's just de****able!

Some noise and then a demand to call followed by another loud noise.

Keeps calling our business 6-8 times a day!!  Rude recorded message says press 1 and then a loud buzz s****s after that.  How do we get this to stop?

This company is a big scam, they dont even know the name of people they are calling....since when I have to answer to ca***a....I have been answering to India long enough....If they give me a job   I have an Indian accent...****s

I provided a comment on this site yes****ay, called the company and asked them to stop calling me and they said they would (they're not looking for me; they're looking for a somewhat distant family member).  Well, there was another annoying message on the ma****e tonight, so I a***n called them and asked them to stop.  They said they would if I would give them my family member's phone # -- which, of course, I will not do.  So, I just filed an official complaint a***nst the company with the FTC.  These guys sound like crooks to me and the FTC site, which accepted my complaint, said they provide the information to law enforcement agencies.

We get calls all the time and don't pick up as we have Caller ID.  The messages they leave are ***ue and say "we are calling about a matter that is closing in our office today. We need to hear from you concerning it."  Well, the matter has been closed 3 or 4 times now. Why are they calling from Ca***a? Can they buy old debts from US?  That makes no sense. I don't plan on ever talking to them I would like to know how to STOP them!

Who are these people?  I was left an 800# saying I was delinquent on an account & needed to call them w/in 48 hrs before legal action was taken.  I called 905-413-8799 which showed up on my caller id to see if I could find out what company was calling.  Instead I got a girl named Andy who wouldn't identify the company.  The 905 people have been calling for weeks.  What's up?

Enough already!! Two and three calls a day to a number that is supposed have none is absurd.

They call me 5 or 6 times a day and don't leave a message.  Very annoying.
