Leave a Commentthis is a well-known scam. do not talk to them.
It *might not* be a scam (though I suspect those here who have seen miraculous results with lowering their interest rates are ringers for the company), but it's shady at best. And a***nst the Ca***a Do No Call rules for those who are signed up, including myself. I reported them.
Had call from David Brown of Liberty Finance offering 3.9% interest on all credit cards. Wanted to know details of credit card numbers, dates of expiration, but when he requested the telephone number of the credit card company, that is where I requested him to send me details of their offer to my home address. To my mind if the company was legit it would have the telephone numbers of all financial ins***utions and not request those numbers from me. He wanted whatever personal information he could obtain from me. David Brown of Liberty became bossy and quite threatening that there is a time limit on their 3.9% offer and it was up to me to accept it immediately, which I refused. He also had an accent. He gave me the website. I do think this company is a scam.
I ALSO GOT A CALL. I PERSONALLY THINK ITS A SCAM ! ITS NOT EVEN WORTH IT.TO THE PEOPLE THAT POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE AND SAID THAT IT'S NOT A SCAM ARE THE SCAMMERS THEMSELVES.
Be Careful- these losers called my parent who are seniors wanting credit card info to lower their interest rate
The guy also called here tonight, heavy accent and wanted to know my card number. I made up the information and he was sure eager to hear it all. He first wanted to know the # on back of signature pad, and than the front and exp. date. He could not*****ounce the place where I live. When I told him that the info was wrong and that I don't have an outstanding balance, he still wanted to lower interest rate, but I told him I rather pay high interest than loose a lot of money to people like them. He gave me a phone number 1-905-595-4511, which I later tried and it is not even in use. All a bunch of lies.
I thought this company are scam even after i gave the authrization to them. But i saw they are not scam.Because they send their package to my door step. Then i fill the debt profile and i send it back to them.yes****ay they call me and let my know that my interest rate is now 5.9% for the life ti*****en i verified this information from my bank right away.i see it is true my interest rate is now 5.9% from 19.17%.
someone name steven called me a month ago... he told me about the lower interest ranging 9.9% to 3.9% on my existing card. he told me dt it liberty financial that is a consultancy firm and they deal/negotiate with the banks to get the lower interest. i asked them to go then to drop my int rate on my visa. as my 19.5%int is high and carry a very big balance. so i was in a pain already. he took my numbers from me and gave me my current balance on dt day.than transfed it to a financial office at the end they promised me to give me at least 3500$savings. and that savings they asked for there life time membership fee which i dont mind because i calculated my savings myself on this. got severals calls form them frm other depts. got a package by mail and now got the int lowered to 5.9% which is well enough for me.. although i got scared as their number is here bt some how i got my benifit...
Although I am on the Do Not Call list, I had a call from a heavily-accented man, Nick Camic. He claimed he could lower my % rate to 3%. Wanted to 'verify' my Credit Card info. I told him this was a scam, and that only the banks could lower the interest rates. I asked if he were from a bank, he told me ‘no’. He gave me info to try to prove to me he was legitimate. He gave me an ID # of 01225 and said he was calling from Liberty International Financial Group. Gave me phone: (905) 595-4511, and website address www.libertyifg.com . The website is also very flimsy on the details, it doesn’t really tell you much at all. Very ***ue. But, it does seem that their ‘basic’ package to lower interest rates charges an exorbitant fee of @ $600 to lower your rates! After we spoke, I checked on my phone to see the last number that called me, and it was (416) 001-2345. I dialled that number, and got a ‘not in service’ recording: it’s what is called a ‘s****ed’ number, where the actual number is somehow c****ed to this other number. A legitimate company would have no need to hide their real phone number from you -- all info below is directly from the phonebusters.com site:Phone Number S****ing"I received a call and my call display indicated a phone number (123) 456-7890 or (777) 777-7778 (or any other strange combination of numbers)".This is a phone number that has been programmed into the system so your call display indicates a different number than the originators. Although this does not mean the offer you are receiving is illegal, you should certainly have a "red flag" approach to any offer. Why would a legitimate company try to obscure their iden***y?________________________________________________I suggest everyone on the Do Not Call list register a complaint at https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng (This is the site for Ca***a’s National Do Not Call list). Read it, and click the link at the top ***led ‘Unsolicited Telecommunications Rule’, and follow the instructions.
got a call from this number and a guy s****s asking me questions about my visa or mastercard and what bank they are from I asked for his information but he wanted to ask me a few questions first told him not giving himmy information till he gives me his and he gave me this call back number Im kinda skeptical cause i did ask if they have a website and all he gave me was this number I figure any body can have a call back number set up. Whatever the case is i dont trust anybody asking me personal information over the phone
Got a call last night from this number saying they could get me a good interest rate on existing credit cards. I took the above phone number with the extension number 314. The name the person gave to me was Ryan Benz with a Spanish accent. He said if I called back today to call after 2pm. Great hours I thought.
The same thing just happened to me. I ended up ****ing up on the guy and he called and left me a message and then the 3 other times I just heard alot of back ground noise. I feel like an idiot too but I called my credit card company right away, I can't believe there are still people out there doing this!
I think the same man called me biut from 905-241-1057 and 905-241-1054. He called the other day 5 times in a row. I told him to stop calling. He called at 8:30 AM on a sa****ay and woke me up.
I've been getting the same calls as other people on this blog. But this time I have guy calling by the Daniel Oliver, he as well has a thick accent and wants me to give him information that he should now. But he also has information about me that he shouldn't know and he can't*****ounce the city I live in. He tells me that the business hours are from 9am-5pm but he is constantly calling after 5 pm when I'm trying to have family time. And he doesn't give up on calling till about 930/10:00pm. I too, asked how much this would cost me and he told me nothing at that this promotion is only being offered to very few people and for a limited time. I
Thanks for your posting- it was quite similar to the call i just got- thick accent, but the guy did seem convincing..I too was wondeing why 'Matthew Jones' had such an accent-He wanted to confirm my Credit card number and birthday- i told him i would call back, since I wanted to chat with my husband as he was in the background saying NO way!I too was given business name, located in Markham...but after the call I googled them- and scam came up with a ridiculous amounts of hits- Thanks for the info:)-besides ...who phones to offer you a 3.9% interest rate on mastercard and visa-for life!

I want to know if this company is really legit
I received a phone call from liberty financial fri. night and spoke with a Matthew Jones saying the same thing to me as the rest of u Then I was transferred to a financial officer Jason Woods. Matthew was very persistant and laughed when I was asking him "why r u asking me this information if u have my name and # u should already have this information in front of u" Asking how my name is spelled the long distance # on the back of my card etc. wanting my other credit cards. He said he wasn't allowed to tell me where he got my information from. I said I would think about it because I had called my credit card company last wk. and the best they could do was 12.99% for a fee of 25$ financial liberty says between 3.9%- 6.9% they want to charge me a one time processing cost of $690!!!!!
I'm not sure about 3.9% but they surely dropped my interest rate to 5.9% from 19%. I talked to the representative for more than one hour.....i was skeptical about that and i wasn't sure about them but still i signed up with them and got the interest rate down. I was surprised to see that it wasn't a scam.
To be frank i wasn't really expecting what i got from my research on liberty financial.. They do exists.. This was the biggest surprise for me.. Cause I thought they were scam.. but still i'm not sure about the process that they are using to drop my interest rate from 24% to 3.9%.. Is this really possible?
I received a call from that number tonight. FIrst spoke to a lady with a heavy accent, asking me a whole bunch of questions about our rates and balances to see if I qualified for their program to lower debts. She then transferred me to the financial manager (or so****ing like that) who also had a heavy accent and was named Tony Smith!? Although he gave me the name, phone no, ext, his name and employee id from the get go, I was feeling less and less comfortable answering the questions as it went. I think I probably told to much, every time I expressed my concerns, he was very aggressive at explaining why I did not have to worry and almost made me feel ****** for even considering that it was a scam. I stopped it when he asked me the digits next to the signature block on the back of my card.Unlike the other blogs I've seen that were similar to this, same company name, Liberty International Financial... when I called the number back, it did say the name of the company but I still don't feel good about the whole thing. There are a few entries of gents supposedly enjoying next to no credits thanks to plans like this but I am a little su****ious as to whom those gents really are.
I got a marketing call even though I am on the do not call list (Ontario, Ca***a). I was told it was Liberty International Financial, tel. 905 595 4511. Another junk call!
