Juno I initially couldn't find a way to stop 401-490-7466 calls but for a similar phone number I tried a blog comment and spoke to someone at 866-246-7196 who said they provide this do not call request service to a small number of companies that call consumers who want to minimize complaints and save time from not calling people who don't want to be called. All they needed was the caller's phone number to verify it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list. It worked for me so I'm passing it on.
Gwen Here's a copy/paste of a comment that works! After getting way too many of these calls, I looked around and saw a blog comment and I called 866 246 7196 and spoke to a person who said they provide this do not call service to a small number of companies that call consumers who want to minimize complaints and save time from not calling people who don't want to be called. Georgia The caller of 401-490-7872 is the same company as 401-490-7877. So to stop these guys by calling 307 223 0458, this do not call service helped me. Just give them the caller's phone number to confirm it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list.

Scam1
Gwen I called back and pressed option 1 and the phone calls did stop.
Calls cell phone on do not call list. Wanting money before security system installation. I'm not that dumb!
RImom Oh yes, the alarm system is free. It's what happens next that's a scam. A company very similar to yours called me offering a "free alarm system" that I "won." Mine is such "high quality" that it's plugged into a wall outlet. I know now that any good system is hardwired into the house, not plugged in! Then the technician presented me with a 3 or 4 page contract in tiny print. He didn't explain any of the terms, nor did he give me time to do more than scan it quickly, because he had "another appointment." So I signed, like a *****, because the guy had been really polite and answered all my questions while he was installing. Only when I went to cancel did I learn that the contract was for 3 years, and that it automatically renewed unless they received written notice months before the renewal, with no cancellation allowed. So don't listen to anyone who calls to offer you a "free" alarm system. They're frauds
