Text of emailed complaint to Directv: I have been receiving numerous phone calls from 410-774-8549. Only once did I manage to answer before the caller disconnected. It was early on a Sunday morning, when I was with family. He identified himself as being with Directv and wanted to offer me some special services or packages. I told him I was not interested. The other calls have rang once or twice, then disconnected with no message left. If these calls are being made by some representative of your company, you'd better GET IT STOPPED. If it doesn't stop and I determine it is your company harassing me, you will lose me as a customer. This is a de****able business practice, if it is Directv. STOP IT! STOP IT! Please respond to let me know that you have taken action to STOP IT, or to let me know that it is not directv, in which case I will probably involve my states attorney general and/or the phone company to determine who it is and STOP IT! Their records show I called and waited to talk to a representative. The records show I ASKED to have the movie channels removed. Explained that Netflix is better. Then I am on recor as renegotiating my monthly fee. So WHAT part of that was unclear when they called and first asked why I cut service and THEN asked if I wanted to upgrade to more services???

Who are these people?? they call and don't leave a message. It disrupts my day in the lab and its annoying to stop what I'm doing at the bench, take off my gloves and coat - rush to the phone thinking I just missed a call from my children ....GRRR

I've had this number on my caller ID four times. I have NO IDEA who it is or what 'they' want. Sometimes they call as early as 7 am and as late as 12 pm. Very annoying. WHO ARE THEY AND WHAT DO THEY WANT?

Call came in at 8:24 pm PST. ID said 410-774-8549 MD. I am on the national do not call list. They had better not call a***n. No voice just a **** up

I got a call a few minutes ago where someone just kept saying "hello."  What is the deal with this caller and telephone number. Has anyone indentified who this is and what their intententions are?

I didn't answer the phone, but it said it was from Maryland. Since they are on the east, and I am on West, it was late there, like 11pm.Never had them call before, but whatever...

Called daily for a week at various times (as late as 9:00pm) and ***g up when I answered.  Caller ID says "DIRECTV"I called Direct TV at:  1-888-777-2***—number on the website for ordering (the "contact us" number doesn't work), spoke to someone named Carlos about the **** up calls.  He said he would stop them and put me on hold. Said they would stop it.  I told him others were complaining about the calls and he said he’d tell his supervisor but that he was certain they'd stop--which tells me they really are from Direct TV.

We are receiving 3 to 5 calls a day from this phone number. We are not answering and they are not leaving a message

Calls come in every couple of nights around 8:00pm. When the call is answered there is no response or there is a ****up. Would appreciate the caller be identified and reprimanded for the calls.

I also receive repeated calls on this phone number each week night around 8pm. The caller ID registers "Maryland" and they do not leave messages on my answering ma****e. My home number is registered on the National Do Not Call List, and I have filed a complaint with them. I am getting this call daily from Direct TV! Since they call me every day with these **** ups, I have called and left a message that not only will I cancel my current service but that I will report them as harrasment calls.

Call most evenings. No one on line when answered. Caller ID is only "Maryland".

They call when I'm at work. No message left on my recorder. I called the number left of my ID, and the message said that Direct TV is trying to call me with offers for additional services. I'm about to get downsized so that's not going to happen.

I just got a call from this number. It is Directv. I barely missed the call. I called right back and they claimed it was after business hours. Just a telemarketer. No problem.

This number is from Direct TV. I believe it is an auto-generated system promoting different specials they are running-in other words-telemarketer. I received a call from this number at 8:10 pm tonight (PST). When I called back I got a recording stating that I reached Direct TV after business hours. S, there you go. (Note: I am a Direct TV customer)
