I'm getting called every day, several times a day. I answered once to tell them to stop calling but no one was on the other end.

Calls several times a day to try and convince me to upgrade/renew my subscription. I cancelled my subscription due to these calls and now they call more.

They call at all hours of the day

The calls are from the Express News. Customer Service Department at (210) 250-2000, (800) 456-7411. I called to have my phone number removed from their call list. Said it would take 24 hours. Told them I have a pay as you go phone and wanted to bill them for the 18 cents a minute I pay for the call. They said they have no procedure for that. Asked for who is in charge. Told their Marketing Director, Paul Kutzik is responsible and will have him give me a call. His direct number is 210-250-2144. If people want to stop these calls they should call Paul.

They just s****ed calling me and I want it to stop. Yes I did subscribe to the SA Express News, but not now........

i got a new phone number 2 months ago and since then have been getting calls from this number many times a day. not only have i left many messages asking to be taken off their list, i have spoke to 2 different "real" people. nothing seems to help and i am really angry. i don't have a cell phone for this company to keep harassing me. i am fed up and no longer know what i can do to make these calls stop.

This company calls and ****s up. It wants you to call back and leave a message to call them. They work for newspapers and magazines to try to renew their subscriptions. I have asked to be removed from the list but they still call 3 or 4 times a day.

I too live in San Antonio, TX. I once subscribed to our local newspaper & paid for it, but never received one single copy due to the fact I live in a "non-deliverable" route. The saleswoman in the local grocery store who signed me up didn't know this. It took me 3 months to get my refund back of $9.95....at least I got to keep their free gift (2008 Edition of The Entertainment Book) - you know, all those coupons good til' Nov. 30th?

I live in San Antonio and have gathered from websurfing that this is a company acting on behalf of the San Antonio newspaper to sell subscriptions....long story short...we cancelled our paper subscription some time back, but why would these folks(based in MN I find) keep calling from 8AM central to 10PM central. Seems like a total waste of time on their part, since we don't answer. Nevertheless it is annoying!

they are calling my home number and pretending to be ******. I am on the federal do no call list. And they call anyways

I rarely answer calls from numbers I cannot identify, and 651-288-2662 has  become a nuisance, waking me in the mornings and calling too late in the evenings.  After reading all the messages of others regarding these calls, this morning I called and left a message to be taken off their list.  Sure hope it works.

I was getting these random calls from 651-288-2862.  I called back and got a message that it's based on San Antonio newspaper subscriptions.  My solution: Save the number with the contact name "Sales Call 01".  That way, you'll know who's calling and you don't have to answer.

I have been receiving calls from this number too. I don't know anyone from MINNESOTA.I just don't answer them. So much for being on the NO CALL LIST.

I got annoyed with the persistant calling as well. Glad to know who to be ticked at! I cancelled my E-N subscription.

I have been getting this call to my cell phone, ever since I cancel my subscription with the SA Express News. So this does make sense.

I have a cell phone, but don't really use it.  It's charged and in my backpack ready for an emergency.  Anyway I s****ed to receive phone calls from (651) 288-2862 on a purely random basis, and never could seem to answer them in time.  The callers never left a message either, which struck me as being a little strange consider their persistence.  My curiosity finally got the best of me and I tried a reverse lookup on the number.  No luck there either.  I decided to try one last thing and entered the number into Google which brought me here.  I do live in San Antonio and subscribe to the San Antonio Express News.  Actions such as these do make me consider cancelling this subscription.

I wonder if the Newspaper would love getting bad publisity on the TV about this anoying phone call. Bad business practices don't set well with a lot of people and I'm sure the news agencies would just love to have so****ing to tear apart to the whole world on national TV. Why would a local newspaper have an out of state phone number?

Recieved call today. No voicemail, nothing

i too have been receiving frequent calls on my cell from this number. i haven't answered and they haven't left a message. but after reading these posts, it must have so****ing to do with the fact that i canceled my SA express news subscription. wow, this is really bad business practice, very unprofessional.

This company call back a***n and ask for my name all I told them it was not me and to remove me from there listing.  The guy said ok.  I hope it stoped we will see.

I also received several calls a day from 651-288-2862.  Till this day they have not left a message but call all day and all night.  On the caller ID it comes across Express News.  Today I got fed up and by looking what everybody has wrote.  I *67 the number and did not leave my name but left a message and told them my phone number and to remove me from there data bank immediately.  I hope this will work.

I got a call around the 8 p.m. hour and a***n at about 9:30 a.m.  I live in San Antonio

Thanks much to Kai (above) for the info.  Deplorable that one has to "get a real person" on the line (and good luck in doing so) in order to stop these twice-to-thrice-daily calls, several of which have come after 9 p.m.  As ex- Ex-News subscribers, I think we'll try the "get us off this list or we won't even bother to buy your crummy paper on Sundays at the newsstand" line.  I encourage all others to do similar with their ex-newspapers as the papers  anonymously bug the***** out of us to get another chance at our pocketbooks.

This has been happening to me as well, always interrupting my meetings at work.  The 651 number calls as well as a 623 area code.  I would either hear dead silence, a ma****e wanting me to buy ****, and finally this last time a person was on the other end when i answered in the middle of dinner.  Come to find out the nice lady informed me that SA Express Newpaper and any other company that relies on subscriptions out sources promotional calling to this company.  THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT STOP IS GET A REAL PERSON ON THE LINE AND ASK THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THE PROMOTIONAL LIST. THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS TO A YEAR AND THEN A REQUEST WILL NEED TO BE MADE A***N.

i rec'd a call from this # too!! i called back and it was a voice mail! it asked for my info!

I get a call from this number at least twice a day.  Never leaves a message.

This number calls all day long and never leaves a message.

I've received calls on my cell phone from this number several times. I've never answered but today I called back and all I got was a voice mail asking me to leave my name, number and contact information.
