I get calls from this number all day long everyday of the week including sundays. They never leave a message. This is very aggravating.I want it to stop.

I decided to upgrade my cell phone and got a new number as well because I was receiving phone calls from India saying that they were JCPenny. I do not have a JCPenny account. Within MINUTES of recieving my new numer and phone, this company called me on my new cell number. What????

I am getting two to three calls a day from this outfit.  The i.d. shows GE Money and when I call the number back the recorded message tells me to enter my J C Penney account.  I do not have an active account with JCP as far as I know and if I did, I certainly would not enter it on the web not knowing who I am dealing with especially since I did not initiate the call!  How can I get them to stop calling me?

Calls from JC Penny Creditors (G E Money Bank) continue to come in every hour on my cell phone and I have no idea who they are looking for and/or how to make them stop calling my phone.They call from the following numbers:330-433-5966980-233-2****78-518-3100314-333-3494

Constant calls from them.  I've never had a JC Penny card.  Finally went over to Vonage with a private friends list.  They are in India.  Basically they own all landlines in America.  They can't be stopped.  It's the math.  I was paying $50 a month for a landline.  They are way bigger customers of the phone companies.  They pay tens of thousands of dollars a week.  So the phone company is not going to protect the $50 home phone.  They suggested I pay $5 or so for call blocking.  I didn't want to give in to what I felt was extortion, so I switched to VOIP.  It's a fascinating dynamic.  It is not a sustainable business model for either the phone company, JC Penny, or the collection agency.  Somebody once said that things that can't go on forever, don't.  I feel it is symptomatic of the current financial cr****.  The phone company can afford to run off the individual paying customer, because it's a small amount.  But when enough are gone then the big fish will swim away also.

These guys are theives. They are from India. They are relentless. I tried being nice. I asked them 6 different times to not call. Still the calls keep coming. They had me mistaken for someone else. Wanted SSN. Finally got the land line cancelled and went cellur mobile. The theives won. It's a sad day when foreigners can rob Americans with impunity. But now I kind like my tmobile phone. I guess eventually they will learn to steal that also, but I guess I'll go with a friends list.

Same comments as everyone else--the GE money idiots are calling 5+ times a day, never leave a message. Neither myself nor my husband have a JC Penney credit card, so we have no idea why they'd be calling us. Am seriously thinking of looking into legal action if this doesn't stop!

my daughter just got a cellphone number and the deadbeat that had it before her hasn't paid any bills so they're harrassing her and when I called them to stop it they told me I had to c****e her phone number. Unbelievable !!

This number calls my phone (27 times Sat., and over 50 times during last week. The phone rang at 7:11 am this Sunday morning. I hit "redial". Then they ask for SS #, D.O.B., and address and bank account number. They "phish", then debit your bank account I have no JC Penny card..ans this number is NOT a JC Penny number, according to the JC Penny home office...they are scammers according to the JC Penny company. Do not provide ANY information!!!!!

I was getting 4 to 5 calls daily from this number and whenever I pick up I heard a recording. I think it was my lucky day today because it was a live person and she asked me for some Maria who I don’t even knows, I told her that she got the wrong number and surprisingly she apologized. I hope the calls will stop now.

JCPenney credits cards are actually issued by lender GE Money.  If you are late on a payment or go into default, GE Money calls you to try to get paid even though you have a JCPenney ***nded credit card in your wallet.GE Money uses multiple phone numbers in multiple locations to make their collections calls.  This Lilburn, GA number is just one of many that they use.                                                                                                                                                                                                             From my experience, GE Money is reasonable, courteous, helpful and willing to work with you.  If you have a JC Penney card and are behind on the payments, take the call and see if you can work out a payment plan.  GE Money is usually cooperative since they are a smart collections agency.  Cooperative and niceness will get them their money while confrontation, intimidation, and fear used by other collection agencies dont' get them a dime (most of the time).
