Same call - automated message telling me there was a problem with my debit card from a San Diego bank.

Debit card scam. Called my cell phone, which my bank does not have, saying there was a security problem with my debit card. Local 4 branch bank no where near the 708 area code.

Phone call from a bank stating I had a debit card problem and they could rectify the problem if I put in my debit card number. I hung up.

This number called representing a local bank regarding my debit/credit card. It was an automated message and I hung up as soon as I realized what information they were asking for. Its memorial day weekend on Sunday.

They called representing a local bank in San Diego and requested our check card number, exp. date and PIN number. The bank confirmed they did not originate the call and canceled the check card immediately.

Some lady asked me to attend their job interview and offered sales postition related. I applied for many auditor positions but the offer doesn't match at all. So strange..

I got one of these calls also today from an unknows number... said he was Rick Watson.  i asked him what it was in reference to he said a cash advance and to pay it over the phone.  Told him it was included in my bankruptcy and gave him my lawyers name and number and asked for his and he hung up.  He sounded like he was arabic or from over seas...SCAM for sure!!!

Frequently have more than one per day. Never leaves a message. When answered (we have done that twice in the past year, the second time by accident) we simply hear some one breathing (not heavy breathing, but it is obvious that some one is on the line) who does not answer our words. Last Saturday had 6. Have had at least 13 in the last 6 days. Have had this number blocked on our phone for at least three months (rings once, caller ID is recognized by our phone and phone hangs up automatically)­. Call volume has increased significantly since then. Others have identified the true source as Meyer Teleservices at 1-800-676-9233 ­. We called that number and asked that our name be placed on its do-not-call list. I suspect my request will be honored. Apparently the company's business plan is to make as many calls as fast as possible - blocking your number simply makes it faster for the operator to make a technically complete call (it was answered, since there was a hang-up, rather than busy, so the operator does not have to wait or hang up himself). If the phone is answered, the operator stays silent so the person called will hang up quicker. I suspect that this company's business plan is to market its services, at a very low rate per call, to relatively unsophisticate­d political and non-profit organizations who do not realize that they are being taken for a ride. If the calls are for political and non-profit campaigns, the company is not subject to the heavy financial penalties for ignoring the do-not-call list. Some writers think that this is a political fund-raiser, since there have been a few political pitches; I suspect that those operators were true political enthusiasts who chose to ignore the Meyer Co. policy, not realizing that saying anything that identified the sponsor to the person answering would subject the

Then I hope they call me again. I will nail them with a violation of the law.

Today these people call, said they saw my resume on careerbuilders. Wants me to call so they can tell me about the position. Oh and the lady did say she's with Bankers Life. I am not in the banking/life insurance profession. So why are they calling?

Called twice today--I have been receiving numerous calls from Bank of America. I went to BOA web site and posted a complaint.  I too am on the Do Not Call List. The next time they call I am going to answer and blow my whistle in their ear!!

This number calls minimum of three times a day. We are on no call list.No one is there when we answer, which is usually never.

THEY CALL TWICE A DAY FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS. I DO NOT ANSWER AND THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE.
