Anne I have received similar calls for months on end. Sometimes I answer and someone with an Indian accent says that they are trying to reach someone. I have had this same number for about 35 years so I know this is not legitimate. I ask them to take the number off their list. They say they will. Calls stop for a while and then s**** up a***n. They always ask for the same name.

these people called me and I asked who they are and the lady did not disclose and ***g up on me.

Yes, I know I'm unable to make a payment on my account, but this is total harassment!  These ****s call and leave rude messages everyday!  They've even left messages on my voicemail where their holding down a ****on on the phone, making that loud buzzing noise for the entire voicemail.  I guess they just want you to get ****ed off enough to call their number back and tell them off!?!  Who knows!  I do know that they are from Global CC, a collection agency of Capital One's.  Hope this helps someone else!
