Woman called my work phone to say they are taking me to court and they need my social security number to complete the paperwork, but when I call back they won't answer.  She also left me a 800 number to call and no answer at that one either.

They said it was concerning a lawsuit. A woman give a case number and said to call back. When you call back the number doesn't work.

toledo Recieved a phone call from this number telling me that if I needed legal consul to call them, They then called my teenager daughter leaving a nasty message that if I don't call them back it will hurt me.

I'm not totally positive (someone else can correct me if I'm wrong) but I believe Providian is no longer in business (bankrupt).  If that's the case, you may contact all three repositories and request they delete this based on the fact that they are no longer in business. You shouldn't have to pay these vultures (collectors) anything.  I've noticed that's their latest m/o; they scavange through peoples' credit files and go after accounts that should be expired or deleted and will attempt to collect whatever monies they can,****uming that the consumer doesn't know any better and will be initidated enough to pay it.  Unless the laws have c****ed lately, this is illegal. Check your credit report; any account (non-government) that is over 7 years old should drop off, if not request the bureaus delete them.  Any creditor that has gone bankrupt (defunct), should also be deleted based on that fact.  The bureaus will confirm they are no longer in business and delete the account(s).

I got a call from my ex sister in-law who was not very happy when they recieved a call from this # looking for me.I have been divorced for almost 8 years and can't figure out how there # would be****ociated with me anyway's!!Help me if you can

OHHH this lady got really REALLY snippy at me when I called the number that showed up on my phone.  She gave me a 1888 number to call but I decided to call the original number to get to the bottom of this.  On the voicemail she said she was with Nicolia Law Firm, but when I called the original number it was a debt collection agency.  After inquaring about this, she became very short with me and told me to, "give me the **** name of the number she was calling earlier".  OH the ladies name is Angelia Bo***uci..so if you run across her just be ready for a fight.

These guys are still calling harassing me. Telling me that my fiance has a lawsuit on him from 2004. The guys name today that called me was Matthew Reneolds. The said that my fiance left him a message on ext 601 but last time it was 605 that called. Totally diffrent numbers all together. They gave me this number to call. 1866-521-2611   Please comment back someone are you sure this is a scam because I dont want my fiance in any trouble but this guy has been driving me insane. SERIOUSLY.

My wife s****ed getting calls from this number and they stated that they were in preperation to file legal preceedings in our local county, They gave me some other 888 number and said its so i can call them back toll free. that number is 888-346-3978 and shows unlisted. they are a collection agency and if you call and ask for such and such they will say s/he is in court and will have to call you back.
