Mike I called this number to complain that I was being billed for 11 issues of Men's Health that I did not authorize. They (Ashley) told me I they called on 4-14-11 for the Special Olympics and someone did authorize the purchase. I told them that it was not so. She said she would contact the the biller to cancel the magazine. I asked her if she was a teller marketer which at first she would not claim to be but after the 3rd time asking her she admitted she was. I told her about this website and it's findings and she just said she was sorry and would correct the mistake.

I agree with you justaguy....This company is notorius for not properly serving court do***ents. Believe me if you have a smart lawyer you can have it dropped for good..happened to someone close to me...they can not ever take them back to court because it was proven in court that service of do***ents was not done properly and they had no proof of debt...and good for you for following thru..most people feel they have to pay up and that there isnt anything you can do...and the other guy is full of baloney...shouldnt judge people without all the facts!!!

I just received a call from this number, looking for my sister in law. They left a message, along with the file number. I did some research on the number and discovered it as united bureau debt collectors. And, while resear****g them, I noticed they have a pattern of calling family members and neighbors NOT pertaining the bill in question. This is disgusting and it shouldn't be allowed

The first time they called (11/9/2009 6:55 PST) the automated recorder apologized a couple times for making me hold, but then I was ***g up on after holding as instructed by the recorder. Today when they called, the ma****e told me to hold and a***n I was ***g up on without anyone answering so I called the number back and received the following automated answering messages:"Thank you for calling - an operator will be with you shortly.Please hold for the next available operator.We're still trying.Thank you for calling - you may continue to wait.Please hold for the next available operator.We're still trying."Then Ebony answered and requested an account number, which I told her I didn't have. I asked what company this was and she said "Chase" to which I replied, "Chase Manhattan Bank" and she said "yes". I asked if she had any way of determining whom they were trying to reach by entering my telephone number and she said no; she asked for my social security number, but I told her that I just got my telephone number this month so I am sure they are attempting to collect a debt from the person who once had my telephone number. When I asked if there was an e-mail address or website I could turn visit to have my information opted-out since my telephone number has already been registered on the "Do Not Call Registry" (DoNotCall.gov) and she said no. Consumers can file complaints with the FCC and any monies recovered as a result of violating the do not call registry rules may go to the FCC and not the person complaining about the violation.
We have been getting daily phone calls looking for my stepson who we do not have a phone number or location for. We have relayed this info them several times and have asked them to stop calling us. They still persist in calling daily.
This # calls between 3-5 times a day and never leaves a message.
These people continually call even though we have repeatedly requested to be removed from the calling list. They are rude and persistant. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and they still call.

Received a call from this number on 1/12/09 saying it was not a sales call...blah, blah, blah. I haven't written a check at Lowe's nor do I have an account with them, so it was obviously a wrong number.

I get this call on my business phone at LEAST twice a week, sometimes more. STOP!!! If I need help in that area, I'll go to someone I know is reputable. This is really annoying!!
