Also said that i needed a lawyer for court on friday or pay $7000.00 to take care of this. Be aware of Charles Green stating he is John Browns supervisor. As soon as i told him that their names were popular online he ***g up on me.

I keep getting calls from this number and 877-333-0713 regarding so****ing with cashnetlinks not alloweda. Both companies have given different amounts. The account they are referring to is dealing with fraud from that account and they are threatening to take me to court for bad checks, that I know nothing about. I have no charges being filed a***nst me in any of the courts locally. Finding out this is all a scam.

TB DO NOT send them any money or even bother with them. I just received the same calls after I applied online looking for loans to buy my books for school. They knew all of my info, right down to my references...t­hey even called my refs threatening to have me arrested...ple­ase report them to the FTC and the police department. Apparently there is a scam going on; they are using info taken from Cashnet.USA applicants and harassing them for money. Cashnet.usa and the authorities are aware that this is going on, so don't worry. I called cashnet.usa and they said that the FBI and FTC are investigating the issue. The phone number for cashnet is 866-254-3581 . They will take your info and ask you some questions. As far as the phone calls, if you can get a block or some type of trace, I would do that. Get as much info as you can. But do not believe a word they say. Even if you really do owe money, you CAN NOT get arrested. If they were legit, they would send you a written do***ent, not call you with threats. There are many "companie­s" preying on people who they know can't afford a lawyer; they get the info a number of ways: through stealing info from a legit site(such as the people who called you), acquiring an expired pay day loan, or simple tactics scammers use to steal people's information. From now on, I will either apply by phone or in person. There are so many legitimate businesses out there, but a few bad ones who have spoiled the bunch.

Joe My friend had a call from Mr. Bishop as well. They call me and we don't even know how they got my phone number. Anyway, I reported to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. They said they are calling from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. They c****e the name a little to avoid legal charges as fraud. I was told this by and actual TBI officer. Be careful and report any call to the authorities and do not give them any information. If they tell you that they are sending the police to arrest you ask them to be present that they you can see each other. They will not show up! They will get cough.

Donna caller called from 901-457-1573 saying he is Officer Bishop, apparently this place has c****ed their number because I use to get phone calls from the same place only under a different number. I had filed bankruptcy and I had told these people to call my lawyer, the calls stopped for quite awhile because I also called the companies who were involved in my case they stated they did not have this person call me. My lawyer told me to tell him to call her and he out and out refuses to call her. I told him I reported him to the Maryland State's Attorney's office and the calls stopped for about 3 months, they are back now. This is a scam. I guess I will have to call the state's attorney's office agian

I advised him that if they called me a***n I would press charges. They don't have my SSN but he did try to get it from me. I have two recorded voicemails from this person.

I just got a call from Tennesse Bureau of Identification too. Funny how these Tennesse officials have a strong Indian accent but no southern accent. My calls came from 916-395-0000 but I was told their number is 901-878-3229, which is a number in Grand Junction, TN. I filed a compliant at www.ftc.gov and with TN attorney general's office. "Deon Bishop, legal supervisor" told me that there was a case filed under my SSN with their government agency & that officers would be coming to my employer and/or mailing address. Deon then read off some email address like that was my mailing address. DUH! I ***g up the phone & he called right back. "Did you just **** up on me?" I told him yes, get the hint and he goes into "Well I just talked to your manager and you're going to lose your job now". Funny thing is that he couldn't tell me the name of my "manager" that he talked to or if it was male or female. What an idiot!Seriously though, if you get these calls, file complaints. You can do it online at www.ftc.gov. I filed one before & a couple months later got a call from NY attorney generals office about one of these companies that called me before & they needed my affidavit because they filed charges on this company. Maybe if that type of thing happens enough, these idiots will realize it & leave us alone.

I am an attorney and these people called my client.  I contacted them and they told me they were a state agency for the State of Tennessee, Bureau of Criminal Identification.  I asked for address and they gave me their "headquarters' address, which was the State of Utah's Bureau of Criminal Identification.  When I pointed out that a State of Tennessee Agency would not be "headquartered in Utah" (could they be any dumber), they ***g up.  I have reported them to the real State of Utah Bureau of Identification and they are now conducting an investigation.

I had just received a call from "Officer Maria Watson" from this number stating she was from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and she had a 'legal fees file' a***nst one of my best friends. She also said I was listed as the reference # and that I should call back immediately, as it is a 'time sensitive' matter. The woman had a very thick Indian accent and had a hard time enunciating. My message cut off the ext. #, not that I'd call them anyway. I googled that dept. and they don't have one for the state I'm in, plus if my friend was in any trouble, she would've called me straight away. This just screams scam. When I hear 901 whatever it sounds like a chatline of some sort. These people are kinda dumb, I hope they catch them soon.

They gave me the same song and dance and call back number lol.  I called my local FBI and gave them a description of the harassment and they told me to report a claim on www.ic3.gov, which I did.  Next time they call I will tell them I called the FBI and reported a claim on this website and hopefully they will stop harassing me and my family.

I got a message frmo Victor to call back the 901-457-1810, when I called back I spoke with a guy who said hs name was Ethan Bishop.  They are claiming to be collecting for CashNet USA.  I contacted CashNet USA directly and they have never heard of these people.  Do not give them any info.  **** up on them.  They are breaking credit and collection laws by not giving you their company info, the people they represent, and for calling you derogatory names.

5/7/10:  I recieved a voicemail message on my cell phone from a woman with a heavy foreign accent.  She claimed her name was "Jennifer Harrison" and she was with the Bureau of Criminal Identification (she didn't say what state's bureau of criminal identification just the generic name).  It went on to say that she had a "lawsuit"/"case file" on my name and had the last four digits of my social.  She said to call back ASAP or they would be "forced" to take legal action a***nst me.  Being an attorney, I know that if I was named in a lawsuit as a defendant I would have been properly served (ie--you don't find out that you are named in a lawsuit from a voicemail...someone, the sheriff or a process server, has to serve you with the complaint so that you have notice of the suit).  It bothered me that these people had some of my personal information so I called the number back from my work phone (which comes up unlisted).  A man with a foreign accent answered "Hello" (not Bureau of Criminal Investigation, so and so speaking...) and asked for my first and last name.  I told him my first and last name.  He asked me to spell it and provide him with more personal information, I stated that I didn't want to give out personal information over the phone, that I was promtly returning their call as instructed and that they should be able to tell me what was going on.  The man abruptly stated "We will not call back anymore, sorry" and ***g up.  Obviously this is a scam...I wanted to add to the comments here because my story is so similar to everyone else's so far.  DO NOT give out any personal information to these people because its a scam!

Louise Maloney I have never received a phone call from this number for myself. But they seem to have gotten my son cell phone number and they call my place of employment and they were threatening both my employer and my son that if I don't call back I will be in serious trouble. I called the number myself stating that I don't appreciate them calling my place of employment or my son and threatening me through them if I don't call back. After talking to one individual that answered the phone and then Marie Watson her supervisor got on the phone and I stated what do you want and that this maria watson threaten my employer and my son. Then her supervisor got on the phone and a***n I stated what do you people want and dont be threatening that i was going to report them. And he said oh we are just trying to help you. And ***g up on me.

Crazy Turban guy calls me and says he is from some crime organization, tells me I owe a outstanding loan then gives me my name and ss#, when I told him I don't owe that or even know that company he begins to us foul language so I **** up, he preceed to call three times after while I WAS AT WORK! I gave him the # of a lawyer friend and told him to call my attorney, he never called back # he called from was 901-457-4225 (beware and never give your info out when some calls you, not even to your mother if she sounds like she has a cold!)
