Caller ID said Veterans Affairs--robo message Amazon scam

got a call 10:19am 4-11-15. i wasn't sure who it was so i just picked up and said nothing. they said nothing. i was laughing inside. you dumb sh*#, you called me! i waited. nothing. after what seemed like 5 minutes, i heard scrambling around in the background, as if the call was being made in a "boiler room." they continued to say nothing. i said nothing then i ***g up. what a bunch of losers!

Really Annoying Phone Calls I have had calls from this company for the past 2-3 weeks. Sometimes they call up to three times per day. They say they are from various Christian, pro-life, etc. organizations. I am a Christian, pro-life person, but I don't give to anyone over the phone. Sometimes the number is blocked, sometimes not; but they all act like they know me by calling me by my first and/or last name AND they say they are "professional fund raisers." Also, they don't **** up right away -- they stay on the line -- I've checked each time. To get them to **** up, press 1 number and it makes such a loud sound they eventually **** up/ More than annoying. I've asked them to quit calling. This should be criminal. I am on the no-call list.

Not sure if AICR are spammers, but they are certainly annoying. I called the number back and got a message to thank me for calling. At the end of the message it says press 1 for more info. I did & after the little spiel, it said press 3 if I no longer want calls from them. Entered my phone number, verified and ***g up. Went into my CID & did the same for all the different numbers from same org. Got one more call. Told man @ other end I had my name taken off their list, don't call anymore!!!! Phone had been silent ever since ;)

Got this call in January 2010 didn't look it up until now

Jordan I've had similar calls from the same number, but they never leave a message. I've found they leave messages with people who have their voice mail set with a personal message. I took my personal message off of my voice mail so now all it says is, "you have reached: 111-111-1111". i don't know if this will help but at least they won't leave messages any more.

This number calls me too many times. How can I do in order to stop it?

Like commenter above, I recognized the voice as belonging to the odious Joe Wilson.  He asked if I would like for him to "continue to oppose health care reform."

Called the GOP of my state, the guy seemed like hes heard my call before and took me off the list without question.  Just look up [YOUR STATE] State Republican Committe and call them.  It will probably work just as well for you as it did me.

FCC Complaint

Non-profits do not apply to the do not call registry. I just got the call... they did leave a message saying it was a survey and they may try later. Lucky us.

Im on the do not call list and this number from Washington DC is callng me and I cant call it back.

Both our cellphones NH area code received a call yes****ay. I didn't notice the call until this morning as it was received at 1:45AM according to my call log.Unfortunately with those calls it is always a computer and you have no way to complain or protest when answering these calls...

i agree with billy barbour and will sign anything to allow these unwanted calls to get blocked!

seems to be affiliated with National Organization for Marriage—a right-wing hate group. i received a call from them despite my being on the Do Not Call list. i reported them. you can do the same at www.donotcall.gov.according to Lyn (on other websites), you can call 202-461-3450 and asked your number be removed from their database.how do recognize a closeted *******ual? clue #1: they are a***nst same-*** marriage.
