Same thing for me - tried to buy my camera as a gift for someone - offered me more than what I was asking for - didn't make sense - I googled the phone number and got all kinds of hits with info on this guy. he is a check fraud scammer- Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a total scam number. I received an email from some unknown Hotmail address, stating that they had seen my ad on Craigslist,  and that they were interested in buying my product. It was clearly a generic form spam mail, as I was not selling an item, but a service. They wanted all of my  personal information so  that they could send a cashiers check, which if you read my ad did not make any sense! When I called the telephone  number, it was a recording for voice mail, or to send a fax. The number is  a paid answering system number with fic***ious names on the  account in Seatle, Washington. Whatever  you do,  don't send these people any information!

Just got this call from "Unassigned" number. Although this number shows up on my caller ID.Its a pre-recorded message. I heard "Hi this is..." and I ***g up.I hate these calls. Dont they have to follow the "do not call list"?

i recieved a message from a "[email protected]"with the typical scam letter and information as above posts.the funny thing is in my post i included my phone number for a contact but no call.the phone number they provided was 1-206-888-4157 i didnt call it but from the first three numbers are a prepay phone number prefix.it is a typical scam email.i just wrote back to tell them i dont have a bank account so i couldnt cash the check and i prefer to talk to someone in person with proper id before i will send anything.

Got a call from this number this morning.  So****ing about we were trying to send you more info on how to make money using your telephone.  Then gives a website so****ing 475daily.com or so****ing like that.

I'm not going to name the web site for obvious reasons.It's basically an answering ma****e that resends your message or fax via email to anywhere in the world, and in this case likely Nigeria.

First time I received the call tonight. Same as everyone else. Let it go to voice, no message, silence.

I just received a call.  When I answered no one responded.  I waited about 10 seconds and ***g up.  I picked it up a***n to discover I was still connected!  I ***g up a***n and waited 10 seconds.  This time when I picked up the phone I had a dial tone.  I called *69 and got 206-888-8920. I searched on Google and only found 3 listings, including 2 for this website and 1 for "www.searchbug.com/peoplefinder/results.aspx?TYPE=byphone&FULLPHONE=2068888920".  Maybe this website is making these calls to get more "hits" for their website!

These people won't stop! 2-3 calls a day for the past two weeks. I never answer, but I've got a good mind to go Seinfeld on them and ask if I can have their home number so I can call them back when I am not busy.

This number is owned by someone doing credit card scams.
