"Card Services"??? Lower may credit card rate. They ***g up on me when i asked to be removed from their call list.
Anne Hardy I wonder if they have a woman, or women, working for them also. I received a call from a very thickly speaking Indian woman telling me I have a problem with my computer this morning, funny that seeing as she fetched me off it and nothing wrong. I couldn't understand anything else she was rabbiting on about so told her to ring later when my husband home. I rang 1471 but number withheld which seems unusual. Anyway tonight I had a call from +1210-249-0540 which seems a bit of a coincidence, this call I ignored as it came up on my mobile screen what do you think ?
Scammer *****.
ScamBuster SCAMMER - do not answer - block caller if you can. Caller: 210-249-0540 = Novatel Scammer Call Type: Telemarketer
Yes, number keeps calling me. Call center sound when I answer.
caller ID says Novatel, San Antonio, Tx.
Dana I received a call from “Peter at Windows Technical Support”, caller ID said: Novatel with a phone number of: 210-249-0540. He had a very thick Indian accent. He informed me that my computer was sending event logs to Microsoft and that my computer was infected with viruses and malware. I have all logs turned off. He explained how he could get someone to help me (so generous of him, considering he’s a complete stranger). He walked me through how to pull up the Event Viewer and see all the “Errors” and “Warnings”. He was telling me to hit Control, Windows and "R". I pretended nothing happened and he walked me through how to do it by going into Windows and sear****g. Told me that he could have someone help get my computer clean. He had me filter the current logs by "Critical", "Warning" and "Error" which showed some errors. One of the warnings had a high number and I was informed that my computer was very infected. He was under the impression that I was falling for this scam so he transferred me to another gentleman (Rick) who instructed me to download Team Viewer (teamviewer.com - is a legit company, but you should not ever download so****ing like this unless you are sure of the purpose of the person using it. It allows them complete control of your computer, so unless it’s a known IT Person, etc DO NOT DO THIS!) and then give him the ID number and password. Said that he generated that ID from Microsoft (complete lie!). When I was hesitant to give him the numbers he suggested another website (ammyy.com - a***n, appears to be legit, but DON’T do this!) I told him I was leery about doing this one as well he asked if he could call me back after I checked out the 2 websites. I told him I’d rather call him. He did give me a phone number of: 347-281-7937 but that anyone could help me. For w***ver gets a call from these people: DO NOT download anything or give them any type of personal or sensitive information! If you have a concern about any “Errors” or “Warnings” please contact Microsoft directly. Bill https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx reported - they asked for 16 digit debit card number, allegedly to reactivate it. crooks!
Clamed my Debit card had been suspended. Total scam.
Karen I keep getting calls from this number. It sounds like a fax screech and then stops.
Said they were with the legal dept of the US treasury ( in his heavy Indian accent) They've left several messages. Caller ID shows Texas or Novatel. When I ***g up on him, he actually called back demanding to know why I ***g up on him!
Scam phone call. Complaint has been filed with National no call list for dialing a number registered on the list.
Neil These are scammers - **** a whistle down the line. It might burst an eardrum (which will heal) and put them off calling you in future.
Linda I have received two call on my mobile from this number. The first time I answered but there was no one there. I'm in the UK so don't know why anyone in Texas would be calling me.
Man with heavy India accent left a partial message, it was too scratchy to understand.
Tracy This number just called my cell phone. Rang once and then ***g up. Heard on the news that the BBB have had reports of scammers doing this so you call the number back. Once you call the number back they try to keep you on the phone for as long as they can cause you will be charged anywhere from $49-$200+ for that return phone call. You are unable to dispute the call because you called the number in question.
They called harassing my elderly parents, cussing at them and called them f****** ******ed! Who are these people?!
Brenda Have received numerous calls. They "say" they are from the "Windows Tech. Dept" and want me to get on to my computer and follow their instructions because they are receiving deceptive "signals" from my computer and they want to clear it up. Right. Like I am falling for that!!!!
john smith we do not answer calls outside of our area code unless we know the party. this is definitely a spam call. what in gods name do they get out of this behavior? we use a reverse phone number lookup to get a general ideal of where the phone is located. it only takes one bad apple in the barrel.
press one to here about your check today. this was the message left on my ma****e . its a spammer .. don't answer . NOVATEL . SHOWS UP. DON'T ANSWER... GOD BLESS
Spam
Spam. This the reason I never answer phone calls that aren't local. Don't answer unless u want to scream.
sue a foreign accented guy called me from this number last night. he first asked for my ex and i said no one by that name lives there, then he proceeded to recite my address and other info about my location. he was difficult to understand but i was able to make out my demographics and did not appreciate it. i asked what he was calling about and he ***g up. the name that came up with the number is novatel and when i try calling 210-249-0******ck, the number does not ring, it just disconnects

Alain Castonguay They've just called. Strangely, it's the second time in a week we're receving calls from Texas, which is about 3400 kilometers from where we live.
If you can, download the app mr.number and use it to block them from calling your cell.

david coomer just got two calls this evening from them, answering ma****e caught them they are trying to send a fax, dont have a fax ma****e
Do not call me *****es
Abby They called at lest twice on my cell and I was unable to answer, but they left no message. If they are debt collectors, as other sites claim, they shouldn't be calling me, since I have no debt of any kind.
It said so****ing about me being "the only one on this conference call", then nothing. Spam alert.
Lobeng Called several times, when I called back it says "non-working number" this is SPAM
Rebecca Called me on my private cell number, which I don't give out to anybody, but when I tried to call back, (thinking it was perhaps a family member or so****ing) it said it's a non-working number!
spam
Fred Thought it's a spammer. Got disconnected 'cause of signal, kind of lucky.
Dan L National Debt Agency is who they claim to be... They want to reduce your credit card interest... BEWARE they'll charge you money to do this!!!!
annie Called several times, when I called back it says "non-working number"
They called me ask for me by name and wanted to verify my name and address. I told them I don't give any information over the phone. He said ok, thank you and ***g up. I think he said he was from United Recovery Services, and I'm guessing that's a debt collector. Do I owe money? Yes. So what, they're not going to get it.
I get calls from this number, a "private number", 000-000-0000 and 1-800-247-4047... and I swear it's the same woman every time! She phones twice a month, and I'm at the point now where as soon as I hear "Ontario business development office" I just **** up on oh her without a word. When the calls first s****ed coming in, these *****s claimed they were calling from "Ontario chamber of commerce", which I called, and the exasperated woman (who obviously had a large number of these calls) told me me to ignore them as it's a scam. Now they've c****ed their story and by the looks of it, tailor their s***ch to whomever they are scamming and their location. The problem is, it's almost impossible to ignore/report them as they call from several number that are usully bogus. I hope one day they just call the wrong person and end up getting caught! It's annoying, unneccessary and gettting rather old...
Same thing. We are in San Diego. We have been getting calls for a year now asking about our move (we're not moving). East Indain accent with boiler-room noise & voices in the background. Caller said she was from "The State of California Business Development Office." No such thing, as far as I know. I asked her if that was a "real" government agency, and she just stated the name a***n.
Guy said he was calling from the Yellow Pages and was updating our record. I told him that our phone company had confirmed the information with our phone service provider. He said that this was different and for the book that we get every year. I told him that we didn't get one or need one, thanked him for calling and ***g up.
I am from Serbia. This morning, a woman with accent, call me several times, with an business offer. I dont know what to do. Please help
I had a couple of calls on caller ID from this number this morning and rang it back. The calls are coming from a telemarketer s****ing the number of a legit auto/motorcycle parts business in San Antonio, which they are understandably not the least bit happy about. It smacks of the "Card Services" scammers M.O. Don't take your frustrations out on the guys being s****ed...there is nothing a s****ing victim can do about it.

Constantly call selling drugs
We've been getting these calls for years. First from the "Ontario Business Development Office", now from the "Metro Toronto Business Development Office". Judging by the questions they as about moving, sounds like it could be related to a real estate company. The calls may not actually be a total scam, but the official-sounding name of the "Business Development Office" is misleading. Essentially seem to be a telemarketer.
Called left no message. Called back said it was LTD. Had the wrong number.
Do Not Call lists don't work when1. you owe people money2. it is a non-profit calling3. it is a survey callingIt only works on advertisers. This number is from: United Recovery ServicesIE: A debt collector
I received a call from 800-247-4047 from a woman named Anne with a very strong Indian accent. I asked her to repeat where she was calling from and she said The State of California Business Development Office and she asked to verify my business address. I informed her that I do not verify any information over the phone and asked for her employee ID number. She said she was in a confidential department, yeah right! So I told her I would be contacting the state to find out if this "department" really existed and if not I would report her to the authorities. She ***g up on me. I have had very ****** employees in the past who verify our address then you get charges anywhere from $9.99 to $49.99 on your phone bill every month and they just hope that your business is so big you won't notice, which we didn't until the economy turned around and we had to cut costs. Once they get you to verify your address they record you and say that is their authorization. The phone company will stop charging you but they will not refund the money. You have to jump through hoops to get it done too. The authorities don't do anything about it either. Be careful.
Stop. Calling no message
I received a similar call from a place calling themselves "State Business Development Office" and "California State Business Development Office". I am in Vancouver (Ca***a)! I didn't take down the number but the call was the same. A woman was on the other end of the line, as was a lot of background noise, and she ****led a lot of words whenever I asked for information about who they were. As if we should have been expecting a call from State Business Development Office or so****ing (hello? Don't you know who we are?).Same set of questions, asked about our "new location" (though we've been here for over a decade) and when I didn't answer she asked about where we were going to expand, when we were moving, in which other cities we planned to do business, etc. Then she asked if we were still in Vancouver! I gave some very ***ue answers and kept telling her it was hard to understand her because of the noise. When I asked her about the nature of her call she kept asking questions about the number of people working here, etc. She finally gave up on trying to get more information. She was never clear on who they were or why they needed our information. Very su****ious.
This company called and tricked my daughter (who is 13) into giving out a private number of a relative. If anyone did actually somehow owe this collection agency some sort of debt, do they really think their actions will result in a successful debt collection? They did not identify themselves or their intent to my daughter, who is a friendly tru****l person by nature. They apparently can not stoop too low. :/
Keeps calling daily - leaves no message and/or voice mail.
They called me, too. ***g up when the answering ma****e got it. I am on the DO NOT CALL list!!!
Called several times a week and leave no message. Know your rights
keeps calling our business lines... do not answer and **** up. Called them and told them to stop calling...they stated they would stop calling....lets see how long that will work.
this call is a scam trying to get personal info
Called me today asking about a neighbor on my street. Caller said his name was Flores. Told him as his name came up as Unknown on my caller ID I could only****ume he or his company have so****ing to hide so I asked him to lose my number since I'm on the do not call list.
Say's he's a lawyer who wishes to send me information regarding some matter. I ask for confirmation such the company's name and his as well as for the reason for his call. Didn't give me any and ***g up. Sounds su****ious to me since it doesn't sound like it's from an office and you can hear a lot of background noise as if they are outside. Very su****ious indeed.
called cell phone, rang a few times and then they ***g up. Left no message.
A woman who identified herself as Raquel called and said she was with the IRS. When I went to take the call she had already disconnected. I called the number back and you can not get through.
She used to call and said that she is the IRS and demand the checking account or credit card number.
got a call from this same number by someone named Bob Eliott wanting to speak to me or my wife...used this number but gave a 888 number to contact them back....just another collecting agency trying to be smarter than you or I.

just recieved a call from 210 249 0916 they did not leave message a***n. I would really like to know who this person or persons is. And to leave message. Caller ID unknown.
Have read multiple posts on other sites about this number. They appear to have personal information on some people wanting to know about people's neighbors. 15 calls today according to caller ID.......no message ever left. Very aggrevating! I wish whatever sick game they are playing would stop!
Calls repeatedly without leaving message. Very aggravating!
I condtantly receive phone calls from this number all day long on my cell phone. I have registered with the " Do Not Call" list but it doesn't seem to mean anything. I added phone number blockage on my cell for an additional 4.99 per month. Now this and about 5 other unwanted numbers have been blocked from calling me!!!!! How ridiculous!!!
Got a call today inquiring about confirming who my neighbors are? Very odd. Lady identified herself as Stephanie Noah.
Just got my third call from the Quebec Business Development Office. First time she asked if we were looking to move offices, I said no and she ***g up. When she called back yes****ay I pointed out that she had called the week before, and she promptly ***g up. She just called a***n and didnt finish her sentence before I said we had spoken yes****ay and she ***g up a***n.
