C Scam call- identified himself as a deputy with county sheriff with a civil warrant division - left message seeking a call back to discuss an urgent matter. Left no info regarding who he was calling, or what the issue was. Called the sheriff's office in question, they said people get these scam calls all the time.

I received a phone call from this number. The person who called me said her name was Maria, and that she was from an organization called DegreeMark; and if I was interested in furthering my education. when I asked about their website, she avoided the question and got straight to explaining their company and what programs they may offer. Sensing a scam, I asked a***n about her company and who she was; claiming that I had never heard of the organization. When I attempted a***n to find out what the company's website was, she ***g up.

John After receiving numerous calls from this number, I contacted Level3 Communications. They hosted this telemarketer until 2010, but (supposedly) don't know the name of the company. Bandwidth is the current host - http://bandwidth.com/. I emailed their legal department and suggest you do the same: [email protected]. At some point, it would be useful to generate a class-action lawsuit a***nst both the telemarketer and their host, Bandwidth. These repe***ive, pointless calls are an invasion of privacy and have a negative emotional impact on the called party. Like the legendary ****ese water torture, drip by drip, call by call, the intended victim is slowly, steadily diminished. The FTC Do Not Call List is completely powerless to do anything about it. Your local police, however, maybe be able to investigate this fraudulent activity and determine the company that is behind it. It needs to be stopped.
