Advocate This number (716) 332-***3 called me on October 23, 2012 at 9:44 a.m. and left the following message on my voice mail: "This is an urgent message for [my name]. You need to contact or call back, immediately, in regards to an important decision being made a***nst you at this time. Our number is (716) 332-***3 or you can press 1 to connect to the office now. Thank you." I called them back just to hear the name of the company. Someone named Mark answered the phone and said, "Hello, Consumer Advocacy Group. This is Mark." Oh my god!  You people are sear****g these kinds of posts and pretending like they helped you because you probably work there or so****ing.  You even say close to the same thing on each one.  Anyone else who posted so****ing here, search the number that called you, and check out all of the other sites it is listed on with comments.  You won't feel comforted by these "reassuring" messages anymore.

it is a company doing surveys on public parks

Received phone call from "John Chamberlain" stating he was investigating reports about bounced checks across state lines and I was used as a reference.  He asked if I was _______ and I said I was.  He read off 4 digits and asked that I verify it as the last four of my social security number.  I would not confirm either way.  I asked what the call was concerning after he repeatedly tried to get me to confirm my SSN.  He said it involved a felony charge regarding checks that were bounced across state lines and a***n asked for my social.  I asked why the issue wasn’t being investigated by law enforcement since it involved a federal crime. He then became agitated and said he was trying to help me and I will be charged for this.  The call ended with him saying, “Have a nice day, dumb b***h.”

called my place of employement, told the supervisor that the call was urgent, and that serious legal action will be taken a***nst me regarding a bad check debt.  Left her name (Ms. Ashland) at 716-332-1850.  Later I called back and pretended to me the supervisor and asked that they not call our offices and that they should refrain from sharing or discussing alleged debts or personal issues with third parties.  She got snippy and said she didn't do anything wrong and that I gave her my work # to call me.

i got a call from investigator william turner looking for my sister because travis county wants to arrest her. he left the number 716-332-1862

this was not a call but i noticed on my credit report that his office made an inquiry on my credit report. you need check to see if they are checking your credit history
