Suspicious They called when I was on the phone, so the CALL WAITING activated. After their number was displayed, I noticed the LED display on my phone was going crazy like they were sear****g the memory of my phone for recently pushed ****ons, like PIN numbers, so I immediately terminated my phone call to cut the line. They seem like they might have criminal intent, rather than just commercial intent, since they never seem to have a voice on the phone. I think the FBI should take a look at these people. They are on the border with Ca***a, so the real operation may even be across the border.

They keep waking me up, it is taking a toll on my work. I wish I knew how they got my number.

Debra Cagwin I have been getting repeated calls from this number for weeks. Once even after 9pm. It is a recorded message about "lowering your credit card interest". Today I listened all the way through hoping to eventually speak to a live person. A man came on the line and I told him I am on the do-not-call registry and told him to remove my number from their lists. HE REFUSED. He actually flat out said "NO." He was arrogant and smart-mouthed and said "Do you know what company I'm calling from?" "How do you know we don't have a prior business relationship?" I said that what I do know is that they have to remove me if I request it. And he said no a***n, and then said, "How about if I call you to tomorrow to see if your at***ude has c****ed?" The number shown on my caller ID is 207-493-2647 but no name comes up with it. A reverse directory search did not come up with a name either. A web search came up with this page. I have filed complaints with both the Do Not Call Registry and the FCC.

Received a few calls from this number on our house phone. Before it would show up as "Unavailable" but now shows up as "WEATHERDMGSVC". I answered it the last time because I thought it had so****ing to do with a weather warning, because I receive texts from The Weather Channel for alerts and whatnot. I would call back and request they put you on the do not call list.

MLP "Hi! This is Tom from Home Security!" calls me all the time despite me telling him multiple times i'm a student still living with my parents! He is ignorant! I no longer answer numbers I don't know. Someone should STOP this!!!!!!!!!!!

Chelsea THIS NUMBER CALLS ME AT LEAST ONCE A DAY, USUALLY AT LEAST TWO OR THREE TIMES A DAY. I have told them in person to remove me from the calling list, I have called the number back and pressed a key to have the automated message remove me from the calling list, and I have done that at least a dozen times but THEY STILL KEEP RACKING UP MY PHONE BILL!!!!! I have blocked them on my phone, which really only means that it doesnt ring and goes straight to voicemail. They never leave a voicemail, but I can still see the calls in my Call History and I swear they are RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Bob R Caller was saying so****ing about a home security system. Couldn't hear well because my kitchen phone has a problem with static. I said "I'm not interested," and ***g up because I was in the middle of cooking so****ing and am on the do not call list and they shouldn't have called me in the first place. .

Calls Several times a day, never leaves a message, stopped answering my phone when I call back it states if you want to be placed on our do not call list and are not interested in our special promotions, please press 1. Quite Annoying they're calling my celphone & using my minutes!!

Since I'm in New Jersey and the call is from Maine, I'm guessing my telephone or electric company at my second home in Maine is selling account information to people.

Female with Hispanic accent called a few minutes ago-this makes 9 calls. She was mumbly and I asked her to speak louder and clearer and state what she wanted.This time asked for Danny-not my name and then just ***g up. A little research showed me this number is from Verizon in Maine.

now i know! they call so we can get annoyed and buy this stuff! Now that's what i call marketing!

Caribou/ automated survey (207-493-2625) keeps calling. This has been happening for 2 years. No way to opt out of the telemarketing call that I can find.

Called my house line at 9:06 p.m. No one answered it cause the caller id read "Friends Network". Did not leave any message when it went to voicemail. No one in my home has ever signed up for any social network sites whatsoever and have an unlisted phone number so I am REALLY NOT PLEASED at the moment. Found "Friendango.com" attached to the heading of "Friends Network" and I had no idea it existed and you MUST sign up in order to use its services. MY QUESTION IS: WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHERE DID THEY GET ANY OF MY INFORMATION FROM?? IS IT A SITE THAT USES AN AUTO DIALER TO GET PEOPLE TO CHECK IT OUT?? I think caution should be exercised.

I get a call around 12 non est. From this 207 area code number. They call me on 1.207.493.2631.This has been going on for months and today i spoke with a ..well i will use the word lady...but like they say, She was no lady. We had a brief argument and she told me she would not put my number on a do not call list

Telemarketer

I have been getting calls from 207-493-26** (207-493-2600, 207-493-2614, 207-493-2615, 207-493-2603, 207-493-2626) for the past few months and have ignored them (never leave a voice message).  They are calling my Google voice number, which I use for questionable things, so I knew not to answer it.I finally answered one of the calls and it was an auto recording of a fake operator lady that forwarded me to another auto recording saying I would win a free cruise if I answer a questionnaire.  Press 1 to answer the questions (I waited without pressing 1 to see what would happen) and it eventually just ***g up on me.I rarely give this number out, but it ironically s****ed happening right after I signed up for a box.net trial.  box.net requires a phone number for creating an account... really who does that.  I was reluctant so I gave them my google voice number.  I am not saying that it is box.net, but it is odd that it s****ed after I did this. If you have also signed up for box.net and are receiving odd phone spam please post this in your notes!

I work for a small non-profit that answers a lot of different help and information lines. Thus, I do not expect merely calling the number back and asking to be removed from the list (which I just did) will ultimately stop the problem, because the number we receive the calls from is not the same as the number we make outgoing calls with, and so how would this company know what the correct phone number is that they should be removing from the list?Someone please email me @ [email protected] if they have any suggestions :)

I just received a call from Caribou so i searched and came up with this site.  I know it's a job for a well meaning soul, but I HATE this form of sales!  They KNOW you are likely to answer your phone!  If I forget and answer before looking, or let's say my 5 year old picks it up and thinks she's doing me a favor by pressing the talk ****on as she gives it to me, my usual spiel is, "you know, I'd might have been likely to buy a few of those ____, but I'm opposed to phone sales intrusions, tell your boss"  and I **** up first.  i never got on the no call list - I suspect that only presents a challenge to the true sharks.  They like to say "this is NOT a sales call" a lot anyway, looking for a loop hole.

This is the network marketer from***** and it needs to end.  It is Bank of America trying to sell you a credit service.

Received call on my cell phone from this number.  Was an automated "upside down loan" call.  I have no loan and I am on do not call list.  How can we get after these people?

I called and I got a recording that says "the number you have reached is not in service.  What the heck?
